Somehow this book was even better than the previous two. RC Bray is an amazing narrator and Mammay has incredibly intricate stories!

The first half was literally amazing. The 2nd half feels like it was written by someone else, who was told to add 500,000 words in 1 week.

I am familiar with both these authors... however in book 3 she has adapted a form of Broadway show-acting that I dislike. This is the only book I have heard this in her voice. It has made me cringe when she starts a chapter. Normally she is awesome though.

A good voice actor really brings a book to life.

Yes, I get books based on the voice actor. Yes I get books based on the author. Yes I catch the little jokes. Yes you should get this book.

I got this book intending on only listening to a few chapters of interest. I ended up listening in entirety and intend to listen again! It was written in an educated elegant style, which the narrator captured perfectly. The actual info contained about negotiations, consequences, and economic fallout was really eye-opening. I do not know of any other way to get a lot of these facts. I would very easily buy another book by this author again.

Normally I like this author but this book is just not keeping my attention. I find chapters passing where I have completely lost track of the book. I have to go back several chapters just to get somewhere I can recall. I listen to hundreds of audio books, and can't put my finger on what is so unmemorable. The topic, author, and narrator are fine...

I expected better.

This time there are 7 things to collect. Easy right? However most of the items have hugely long side quests. Where I started to get annoyed was when a huge portion of the book was about 7 formerly known as Prince, vs 7 dead Prince, and then all THEIR back up bands. This book was OVER-slathered in as many songs, icons, and movies as possible... which left the actual flow of the story severely lacking. Will Wheaton did a great job. My complaints are only on the story.

I had read high reviews of the ending. I didn't like it at all and without spoiling it, I feel like I have wasted 3 credits and about 35 hours of my life.
