not thrilled with the time spent listening to it
this book was far above my reading level. it is very dark and non inspiring. makes one wonder about the levels of life we are experiencing. I wouldn't recommend it to light readers or one to listen to before bed time. I have no interest in reading any more books by Atwood.

- A Brief History of Humankind
- Written by: Yuval Harari
- Narrated by: Derek Perkins
- Length: 15 hrs and 18 mins
In Sapiens, Dr. Yuval Noah Harari spans the whole of human history, from the very first humans to walk the earth to the radical - and sometimes devastating - breakthroughs of the cognitive, agricultural, and scientific revolutions. Drawing on insights from biology, anthropology, paleontology, and economics, he explores how the currents of history have shaped our human societies, the animals and plants around us, and even our personalities.
I'll definitely listen to this again.

not really new
Glad it was an audible read as I wouldn't have the interest to read the whole book. the last quarter was the interesting part. The first 3/4 I had known from school and movies. I only listened to this book as it is the selection for our book club reading of the summer. Our leader is really picking the "good" ones. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for light, enjoyable reading but if you want to read a book that will impress people with the title and content by all means get this book and carry it around.
