This has been my favourite Coben book so far. I love the main character Win! The narration is excellent. I hope he makes this into a trilogy or series!

Well worth it!

I was a little put off at the shortness of this book before I used my credit on it but it was well worth it. I loved the character of Jamie and the narration was excellent. All the characters were well defined and the story was great, loss of innocence and the struggle with evil. Its not as involved as the usual King novel and at the end I found myself wanting to hear more from Jamie and his life. I do hope this is the first in a series!

Loved it!

I really, really enjoyed this book! There were some surprises at the end and I didn't see them all coming. I liked the main character a lot and the narration was very well done. Bravo!

Once again Kelley Armstrong has wonderfully fleshed out main characters who are interesting and likeable. I enjoyed the story and would love to see Gen/Lucy and Marco in another book!

I enjoyed listening to this book. I like the books that jump back and forth between what was and what is, it makes you listen harder and try and figure it out as each new nugget of information is revealed. The main character becomes someone you start to cheer for as he is a good person in spite of himself!

I thought the story was well written after a slow start but I agree with all the people who disliked the narrator and her pronunciation. One reviewer said she sounded Canadian, no way, don't blame any Canadian for those pronunciation issues, in fact the director of the audio performance should have caught the problems, the most glaring is the word ate, pronounced et. Anyway, I was able to get into the story and book once I tried not to be annoyed at the narration. I am going to continue with the series and I noticed that the narrator changes after the third (?) book which will, hopefully, be an improvement.

I was thoroughly engrossed in this book. I liked the way it took the characters and told of the story from their perspective, it worked very well. I found the story to be sad but with hope and happiness there too,

So worth the wait

I love the characters in these books, and Louise Penny shows that you don't need shock value to have a great murder mystery. I often think if I drive into the Eastern Townships I will somehow come across Three Pines although it is a fictional town, so powerful are the characters and descriptions.
Gamache is always thoughtful and kind, the kind of person I wish there were more of in this crazy world we live in.
I liked the social media thoughts in this book, the good, the bad and the ugly of it. Very timely.Excellent through and through

I quite liked this book and will try the next one in the series. I thought the characters need a bit more fleshing out but it kept me reading. I think the narrator did a fairly good job, I would have given 3 and a half stars if I could, I cant quite put my finger on it but I would like a bit more of something subtle and a bit less of careful description, of that makes any sense,.

Kept me interested and I loved the main characters
