I love the characters in these books, and Louise Penny shows that you don't need shock value to have a great murder mystery. I often think if I drive into the Eastern Townships I will somehow come across Three Pines although it is a fictional town, so powerful are the characters and descriptions.
Gamache is always thoughtful and kind, the kind of person I wish there were more of in this crazy world we live in.
I liked the social media thoughts in this book, the good, the bad and the ugly of it. Very timely.Excellent through and through

I quite liked this book and will try the next one in the series. I thought the characters need a bit more fleshing out but it kept me reading. I think the narrator did a fairly good job, I would have given 3 and a half stars if I could, I cant quite put my finger on it but I would like a bit more of something subtle and a bit less of careful description, of that makes any sense,.

I wasn't sure what to expect, I picked it because of the narrator , I think Ray Porter always does an excellent job. I enjoyed the characters and the story, it was a fun book that kept my interest all the way through, I was right there with them wondering about room 14! I will try another book by this author for sure.

I was eagerly awaiting this book and it was every bit as a wonderful as I thought it would be! I love the characters of Strike and Robin, they are so well depicted, so real and vibrant. I loved the story, I loved the narration. Even though it was 22 hours long it seemed to go by so quickly and as soon as it was done I wanted more!

I have read all of Linwood Barclays books and once again he creates believable characters and an interesting story. It was a bit creepy in parts and you can imagine yourself going through some of what is happening, wondering how you would react. I liked the narrator as well, I thought he did a great job. #Audible1

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I love Stephen kings writing, he paints such a vivid picture in my mind with his writing. I absolutely love how he brings in a character from another book, I would love to read more with these characters. Will Pattin does an excellent job with the narration.

I started this book with some trepidation as some reviews were glowing and others not so much but this is a GOOD book! Sure there aren't too many zombies but its an 8 book series so it has a full story to tell and zombies are a part of it, probably sometimes more than others. I thought the characters were interesting, not perfect but who is and I don't what to read a bout perfect people. The book ended and I wanted more, I want the whole story and to me that's the sign of a good book! I recommend this book for sure.

I thought this book was great, I loved the main character, Jane and am looking forward to reading the next two books with her. She has guts and a heart. The bad guys and the technology they use is terrifying and makes you wonder if it is even possible in the real world, and of it is, then well, even more terrifying! Dean Koontz is so good as bringing a scene alive, you almost feel like you are there. I liked the narration as well.
