Come for the humour. Stay for the performance. Enjoy the tale. Loved the story made even better by Will Wheaton's narration. Now I will have get the original to compare.

Perhaps the best retelling of Holmes I have read/listened to. Slow to start but picks up as the narrator brings all the characters to life.

The book wraps several cases in to a longer story arc and provides interesting clues and puzzles. A few times where Mary misses the obvious for the sake of the story are forgivable.

Listening with my wife on a long car journey and at the end we both said "let's start the next one."

A fun listen.

As is often the case with series the story was slow starting, but the humor and great performance drew me in. Book 2 is in my wish list and will be moved up in my reading list.

Good Story. Great Listen.

Though there are a few obvious questions that go unasked to move the story along.
