Video game fans and makers, and anyone interested in entrepreneurship, business and entertainment will love this book.

I love these insider stories of the Wild West that was the young video game industry.

The book is also expertly narrated by the indomitable Wil Weaton, so my fellow nerds will rejoice in that :)

Unique, interesting, but not a page turner for me

Maybe it’s just me and my level of distraction when trying to listen to this, but it didn’t pull me in as much as other sci-fi (for example Isamovs foundation series really did it for me).

Cool and unique concepts for sure though! I could see how other sci fi fans would love it.

Maybe I’d give it a read again someday.

Amazing book. Don’t even have to be a hardcore fan to love it.

I’m a Hip fan, but not one of those Hip fans. And you don’t have to be to listen to this book. (If you are a hardcore fan, god bless you. You’ve already bought the hardcover and don’t need my review to convince you to listen to this).

I loved everything about this. George is the perfect narrator for one. He has the credibility, and besides that his voice is great.

The book surprised me in bringing out multiple voices and views of the band and it’s impact as well. Though obviously a tribute and homage to the band, the book doesn’t fall over itself with unnecessary gushing and hyperbole.

It also included a lot of interesting comparisons and context throughout. I loved hearing about the pick up hockey scene in Toronto, the deaths of other great artists, a bit of Canadian music history.

All in all it’s a fascinating read and would be loved by any Canadian, music fan, hockey fan, or good human :)

If you’re a big podcast listener of interview shows like Tim Ferris, you’ve probably heard loads of guests come on and talk about the concepts the Dr. Sharp goes through in this series.

Nevertheless, I found each episode had a clear takeaway that I can easily incorporate into my life.

Worth a listen for sure!

This book has been on my wish list ever since listening to Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins. I hesitated for a while because I thought, I already heard from the Seal himself, but man, I am glad a gave this book a chance.

It is laugh out loud funny, has a great run-time, and just enough inspiration.

Pick it up b*&$^!

This short and enjoyable read gives simple, actionable financial advice that anyone can benefit from.

Well worth it if you would like an alternative financial perspective: especially one that is dead simple and has a provable track record to get you the best returns.

Loved this book so much. Wil Wheaton was of course the perfect narrator (listen to Ready Player One next if you haven’t already).

Book is a great length. The structure of mission logs and back on earth 3rd person perspective really worked.

I was so invested in this story, my brain almost lost the truth that this is fiction. You wind up rooting for Mark so much, just like the billions back on earth in the book.

Must read/listen.

Everything about this is great. The length, the narration, the conversational stories—it all works so well as an audiobook.

As for the content—I couldn’t put it down. I love her vulnerability. I love the variety in all the patients. I love how sometimes you want to scream at them and other times you are cheering for them.

Made me laugh. Made me cry. Made me think. This book has got it all :)

I didn’t know what I was in for when I started listening to this book on a whim. In short, it floored me. What an incredible story of a native man growing up in the residential school system and finding the game of hockey.

At times heart warming, at others heart breaking, this story will stay with me for a long time.

A must read for all Canadians and hockey fans.

What a fun and informative series!

I loved dinosaurs as a kid and it was so great to rediscover them.

I have trivia now for my nieces and nephews!
