For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare - poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

My younger life has a ton in common with what David Goggins, and thus i can relate too a small degree. However i took more of a victum roll to be honest (embarrassed about it too) This book inspires me to look deep at myself (told myself i already do but i still keep the darkest stuff hidden, the stuff that truely scares me)

This book explains that you need to be true to yourself, which is no easy task. Also to push yourself beyond what you "think" is possible or even impossible. It shows that you should be putting yourself in uncomfortable situations in life in order to grow and learn about yourself, too find your self.

The book makes me wish i could be as mentally strong as David Goggins, at the same time it tells me that i can be. Its a matter of digging up all the toxic stuff barried within you, and dealing with it. Then putting yourself through tests to find out who you are, where you can go, what you can achieve.

Thank you for this book David.

A must read/listen.
