I’ve read white a few books like this now, and I made a point to get through the entire thing so I could write a fair review. Someone should let the author know that you don’t have to be an asshole to get your point across. I think that because he isn’t a particularly funny or interesting person that this is the attitude he has developed. I can’t believe I haven’t seen another review like this! He blatantly puts down some really well known books in this category (ie 4 hour work week by Tim Ferris - which he obviously didn’t even read based on the way he references it) in such a rude and condescending way. He talks to the reader like they are incompetent. He contradicts himself a lot (he basically says “the law of attraction is bullshit and you are stupid for believing it” but in the same chapter he spews LOA concepts verbatim?). There were a ton of other things that just irked me throughout the book, but I can’t put my finger on them. Maybe it was his repetitive use of terms like “flatulence” and “big boobs”. What makes all of this worse is that I didn’t close off feeling inspired or like I learned anything... just annoyed at the author and all the time I wasted. I’ve never finished a book feeling this way!

Loved this book. I didn’t know anything about psychedelic’s before reading - in fact I was a little frightened of the topic (because of typical media coverage). But I love the way the author covered the history of psychedelic’s, many experiences (of others and his own), and practical uses. I am officially not frightened, just incredibly intrigued!
