I've been a fan of Rick's since I first saw him, I love his wit, his knowledge and his ideas. It's a necessary read for any Canadian, particularly those who aren't "interested" in politics, because Rick may help you come to understand that it's not the dry, boring topic that you think it is, at least when the commentary is coming from him. He is and will likely always be the best pundit in Canadian history. He narrates it himself, of course, so the performance is awesome. The majority of the book is a recap of his best rants through the years, with stories of his time in broadcasting (and his life) peppered throughout, in the same fashion as he presents anything, with that special kind of humour that seems to only come out of Newfoundland. Also, you get a bonus original essay at the end. I will miss him dearly on CBC, but at least I had this to keep me going a little bit longer. I'm sure I don't have to tell other Mercer fans to get this, they'll want it. But every Canadian should.

I liked it...

It was a good story, but the ending seemed kind of rushed. there was nothing wrong with the narrator, though I wouldn't have picked him for this particular story. Overall, a solid 4. I will look for more from the author.
