I hesitated to download this book because the title seems so aggressive, and that’s not my negotiation style. But what this book taught me most about was communication and human nature, and I’m eager to put it to use everywhere in my life. I heard Voss on a podcast and I wish he had narrated it, but the narrator was quite good. He had the right deadpan humour in his tone to convey Voss’s lighthearted yet serious depictions of kidnappers threatening to cut off their victim’s finger if they didn’t get their money. Highly recommend, even if you think you don’t negotiate often.

I gave it a chance because Rhonda Byrne mentions this text in the Secret. All the reviews said horrible narrator with bad pronunciation; that is definitely true. I liked some of the content but you can find all the same ideas presented in a much more engaging way in modern LOA books.

I’m obsessed with building good habits, but I have a tendency to let my systems fall apart and beat myself up about it. This book is a treasure trove of nuggets to help a ‘habiteer’ be more successful, and also an amazing resource for how and why to incorporate habit building from the foundation up. I love the way the author stresses the celebration component! Also love all the anecdotes about how people have put tiny habits into practise in their lives. Some of the nuggets in this book have really stuck with me and will change the way I interact with myself and others (people change best by feeling good!)

Not only did Jim Kwik give us useful and actionable advice to upgrade our brains in lots of different ways, he made me feel a glowing sense of optimism for becoming a better, smarter person which in turn will improve my life. This book will be useful for students, business owners, stay at home moms, cashiers, lawyers, kids, the elderly, and everyone in between. I’ll be reading this a few more times. May order a physical copy. Ps, I liked the unstructured chats between chapters.

Phenomenal, informative and gives me hope for the future of humankind.

I recommend this book to anyone, period! As discussed in the book, humans have a cognitive bias to thinking the problems on our planet are too big to even try to fix. Climate change, energy shortage, clean water supply are all addressed in their stark difficulty and the solutions that have been growing are candidly described. Also, if you have a Black Mirror fear of technology destroying our humanity, this book gives you an idea of the other side of that coin—how we can all be interconnected to exponentially grow solutions and an unimaginable world of prosperity and abundance for everyone. I like that the problems we are facing are not sugar coated at all, but the tone of the book is optimistic. I am better for having read this.

I read a lot of business books. I wouldn’t recommend this one, as I found the information only moderately useful and the narrator very robotic.

I can’t recommend this strongly enough. If you’re into the Law of Attraction, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of the books/programs available tend to be repetitive in content. This had some wonderful nuggets that brought me to a full stop, either concepts i had never heard or a way of explaining them that brought a whole new perspective. If you’re just getting started on your spiritual journey it’s also a great place to start because the author describes everything in totally down to earth terms, and made me laugh out loud several times. READ THIS!

I’m not in debt, but I decided to read this book because audible was offering it for free and I thought it might be a way for me to become more financially literate. Despite me being in perfectly fine financial circumstances, this lady gave me a lot of anxiety with her aggressive narrative. Anyways still very helpful with actionable steps.

Seth Godin is a genius and there were some amazing gold nuggets in here, but I found my attention wandering because his voice is soft and lacks inflection. Will have to listen again to catch what I missed!

I love the way Arianna jammed this book full of awesome sleep facts as well as anecdotes to make it seem human. I could have done without the dream chapter honestly, because I just don’t see what it added in terms of useful information, but that’s just personal preference. It’s narrated by her sister, which is cool, but I found her Greek accent quite jarring and hard to listen to.
