Story
How can we change our behaviours? The first step is understanding our habits. For better or worse, habits are the invisible building blocks of daily life. Research suggests that about 40% of what we do is repeated almost daily and yet most of the time we aren’t really aware of what’s happening. In this series, neuroscientist Ash Ranpura and comedian Alice Fraser deep dive into the science of behaviour change. They want to find out how we can make good habits and how we can break bad ones.

I’m sure this book is full of good life lessons, but the syrupy narration and writing style is nauseating. I couldn’t make it past the first chapter.

Did you know that oatmeal actually isn't a healthy way to start the day? That milk doesn't build bones, and eggs aren't the devil? In Food: What the Heck Should I Eat?, Dr. Hyman looks at every food group and explains what we've gotten wrong, revealing which foods nurture our health and which pose threats. He also explains food's crucial role in functional medicine and how food systems and policies affect our environmental and personal health.

Very eye-opening

This book was incredibly informative and eye-opening. It provides common sense principles that are I incredibly intuitive and easy to apply. I especially loved all the facts about how certain foods and non-foods affect our health, and the environmental, moral, and ethical impact of certain agricultural practices. This book is so good that I bought the hardcover copy to refer back to. This has forever changed the way I look at food.
