This is one of my favourite Gamache books to date. A fascinating story with a brilliant narrator. As usual, Louise Penny brings our awareness to the devils that are here as a warning to be mindful of social and environmental forces at work in the background of our lives.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the Sherlock Holmes saga. The narrator is excellent. I listened to this after listening to the complete Sherlock Holmes unabridged stories read by the same gifted narrator and it was almost seamless in its transition. The author cleverly weaves in her stories into the fabric of some of the more famous cases.

How disappointing. This series has become silly and the characters are stuck in a very unsatisfactory loop. Could not finish it. When I skipped ahead to the epilogue that was disappointing too and didn’t even finish that. Instead of the characters maturing and taking on dimension they became more and more silly and childish. The narrator was very good and I enjoyed the singing that was interspersed into the story.

Have enjoyed the first two books of the series. The author has done a good job portraying the Edwardian era and incorporated a good sense of humour. The narrator is excellent and I enjoyed the singing interspersed within the story.

I am currently rereading this series because I enjoy it so much. The character is spunky without being foolish and the stories are well-written and executed. There is a touch of romance without explicit detail. The narrator is very good which enhances the overall enjoyment. Recommend.

A well done dramatization of one of Agatha Christie‘s classic stories. The actors were very interesting to listen to and delivered excellent performances. I recommend this audiobook. .

These are a series of very short procedurals. They each end very abruptly and a few carry over to the next. The characters do not develop very much. The stories are rather shallow and become very much like one another. There is an annoying sequence of music at the end and beginning of each segment that is very distracting. The series ends as abruptly as it starts. Not my taste. The performances are decent.

This is an excellent collection of Miss Marple stories. The person portraying Jane Marple is excellent as is the rest of the cast. Thoroughly enjoyable. Clear audio recording. Recommend.
