Like many things, charisma takes a conscious effort to build and it begins with confidence to pull it off. Another author in this field breaks down confidence as something which is built by several acts of courage, courage is described as "doing the right thing" within a very short period of time from first having the thought of taking the action.

This book builds on that idea, it gives you some tools to build a mindset of Charisma. This can be learned by anyone. I'm sure you've at some point felt like your mouth is immobilized in certain situations. You cannot speak well and have horrible body language. This is all internal and can be overcome by some mental exercises and building confidence.

The problem is, some people's environment (the city they live in, their relationship or workplace) is an obstacle too difficult to overcome. It's hard to re-frame your mind in an environment where you have NOT been charismatic for a long period of time. It is possible, but it is easier for some to make changes to the environment. Getting off to a good start with charisma in a new environment will easily build momentum. Think of a friend which you were charismatic with right from the first day you knew them. It's harder to start being charismatic with someone who you have known for a while and NOT been charismatic. This is human nature and can be overcome but think of each new person you meet to START being charismatic from day 1. This book will help you do that.

Storytelling is a word that is thrown around quite a bit these days for anyone trying to build an audience or a business. The problem is most guidance on learning to tell stories is done by someone who is already good at it and not explaining how to acquire the skill. Almost like if Edison were to explain how he made the light bulb. It takes some characteristics to get a WAY of thinking.

Kindra is the best so far. She breaks down story telling into different types of stories, because audiences are different based on what kind of business or influence you are trying to build. Each category she covers what are some suggested ideas to get started. Everyone has a story to tell, we just need to realize that it's worth telling and will help us connect with people.

This takes a lot of practice which most people are not willing to do, but this book will point you in the right direction. Kindra's voice sounds a bit like a teenage valley girl, but it's only a minor setback!

Complete guide to feeling like a million bucks!

I used to have severe headaches and sometimes illness whenever I forgot to eat. I sometimes view the need to eat as an inconvenience of being human. But I always had to eat something. With my wife eating totally dedicated keto for a few years now, I can say that what I am eating is much more healthy than most but I always added my carbs on the side.

This book will turn upside down any negative thoughts you have about fasting. Yes, I did experience periods of hunger in the first two weeks of doing it. But guess what? Unlike my wife's keto diet, the book says that in some cases where you're stuck going to a wedding or other social event it's ok to not be THAT guy saying "sorry, I'm fasting". But I did notice after following the fasting program for several days consecutively, if you have something sugary at a social event you will experience greater hunger afterwards. Sugar is a drug.

In general, everyday I feel motivated to follow the schedule. The reason is my body feels better, I feel I can breathe clearer, I have better mental sharpness and as the book defeated one misconception, did not lose any muscle mass. There are three fasting schedules included in the book, I am following the first as I'm not overweight or diabetic. It seems I used to have headaches because of lack of salt in the body, not enough of the right fats in my food and too many carbs when I did eat. The book's recommended bone broth, tea, coffee or carbonated water is helpful during fasting, but I try to avoid any caffeine when possible.

My next experiment will be working out while fasting. Contrary to popular belief, the book says it's better to workout while fasting. You will experience a much greater HGH level and even waiting to eat an hour or more after working out will help maximize this.

But it's a great change overall! Fasting will help you be sick less, feel better, save money on groceries, and apparently the body will age slower!

The book is an amazing breakdown of the benefits of sleep and motivates the reader to take some steps to improve their sleep quality.

Sleep is ignored in our society, it’s amazing how few people and companies still live by the mantra that quantity of time awake and working is better than quality.

The book gives some easy to follow tips to get to sleep easier. Amazing how effective something as simple as if you can’t fall asleep then get up and do something quietly and avoiding any LED lights works, try sleeping again 15 mins later.

Lots of info on how sleep heals the body and is one of the best medicines out there, and free!

A lot more, you’ll like this book!

Some other books on China history are either biased negatively toward China from a western view or they are biased in a way that it is "Communist party approved". Baum does an awesome job on avoiding both. Why? He was one of the furthest back China watchers and has a great understanding. If you know some simple Mandarin you should be able to pick up a lot of the things he throws in Chinese. They are short sentences which he immediately translates. He is an excellent narrator and story teller.

His personal experience in China makes this book unique, particularly the part of the book where he describes his chance to read a classified CCP document. There are some interesting facts which the CCP has chosen to leave out of its official history books, Baum uncovers! A great book!

A good eye opener about how counterintuitive successful parenting is. Now when I'm at the mall or at wal-mart and I see other parents constantly nagging at their kids who are out of control I know why. I used to have a teacher in high school who had such an amazing and polite little 5 year old boy. Now that I think about his style as a teacher, I know why his boy was like that after reading this book.

This book will challenge your thoughts about parenting - because it's likely that your parents did it backwards as well. Our boy is 2 and I had a couple times where I found myself going down the traditional road of "trying to straighten him out". The problems continued, but after reading this book I can see change. It is a challenge to follow the methods, but the book's goal is to re-wire your brain on the cause and effect relationship between your actions as a parent in discipline and your child's actions or temper.
