First things first this is a good book I really did enjoy the story but the audio version is quite tiring I don't know if it is because of the reader or because of the time it was recorded but this book tried to put me asleep a couple times, I had to speed up the playing of the book to 1.2x just to keep awake, the readers voice is very soothing(it was to me in any case) and this tended to make my eyes droop and flutter, I honestly did enjoy the story but the reading was not up to par I will be heavily contimplating the next book in this series of it's the same reader

GREAT BEDTIME STORY IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING :D

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

This book has changed the way I look at fiction in general, it keeps you frightened and wanting to listen more and more as the story progresses, I wouldn't be surprised to know that most people finish this book within 48 hours of buying it.

Originally written for the pulp magazines of the 1920s and '30s, H. P. Lovecraft's astonishing tales blend elements of horror, science fiction, and cosmic terror that are as powerful today as they were when first published. This tome brings together all of Lovecraft's harrowing stories, including the complete Cthulhu Mythos cycle, just the way they were when first released.
