brew to a kill

Sadly the story format is getting quite predictable. murder in the first chapter, halfway through, three storylines to engage the reader, heroine does risky actions because Matt, who she doesn't love, is embroiled in danger and Clair bursts into dangerously unsafe situations....can't let Matt get into trouble...
this is my 11th book... 7 remaining. I'll likely read the first couple of chapters, then the middle few, and finish the last ones.
10 hrs is way tooooooo loooooonnng
