Publisher's Summary

We're living through a golden age of paleontological research that, in the last couple of decades, has radically changed our understanding of dinosaurs. Through candid interviews with the world’s top paleontologists, Professor Ben Garrod reveals new dinosaur facts from cutting edge research into the greatest animals ever to walk the planet.

When we're young, we all have a favourite dinosaur but, as time passes, other aspects of life get in the way. This is ultimate guide for grown-ups who have lost touch with their favourite childhood dinosaurs.

From the earliest cat-sized dinosaurs to enormous, feathered dinosaurs, there have been many significant discoveries in only the last 30 years. Every day we are learning more about the way the dinosaurs behaved and ultimately what happened to them at the very end.

My 9 year old daughter loves this!

My daughter is fascinated by dinosaurs. I got this so that we could listen to it together in the car on the way to school and other drives to keep us entertained. She is loving it, and learning! And so am I!

A short overview

This six installment presents a succinct overview of what is known about dinosaurs. If one has had some interest in these prehistoric beasts, this program will be basic, but interesting. If interested to dig deeper, may I suggest The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs by Steve Brusatte.

fun and interesting facts

great content. should be presented functionally as chapters, and called episodes for continuity and hands free.

Good knowledge to get you a girlfriend

So while I initially only downloaded this because I thought it would be cool to be able to spout off random facts to girls to impress them (and it has been), it was thoroughly interesting and enjoyable! I honestly wasn't even that in to dinosaurs before. But now I've literally been impressing people non-stop. I can't describe to you how cool I felt asking girls at the bar what their favorite dinosaur was, and getting to politely correct those who said pterodactyl (don't worry, you'll see, just listen to the audiobook).
That being said, this treasure trove of information has yet to win me a girlfriend so on the overall score I gave it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5. But don't let that dissuade you because in all honesty I loved it and am confident it will.
Fantastic listen.

I really love dinosaurs so this is a great series for other grown ups who like dinosaurs but dont have expensive knowledge. The professionals give great insight & the narrator / host has a very soothing and compelling voice.

I have recommended to all of my friends. even if you dont love dinosaurs you will really really enjoy this series.
