All of Amy Bellows books always feel emotionally very very real, which is fun because the actual worldbuilding is completely fantastical. I am not particularly kinky myself, but it always feels very emotionally consistent and necessary for the characters she creates when they participate in it.

I also enjoy having anti-extractivist and abolitionist politics built into romances. This author is always on point and the larger story behind the series continues to unfold in an intriguing way.
