Publisher's Summary

Lumerian Knight Torrin Llahsab has spent months as a prisoner of the evil Vilitos with one goal, a single purpose...survive, escape, track an ancient artifact before it can be used to destroy more of his people.

When an opportunity comes at last, he is moments from stealing an enemy ship and making his escape when he sees a beautiful human woman, bound and gagged, being tormented by the evil guards. Weak and injured, he risks everything to save the female. He is a protector. A defender. It’s what he is to his core and he cannot simply walk away....

Light years from Earth, Nurse Juliette Rosen is having one hell of a bad week. Captured by aliens, put in chains and flown light years from home, she’s sure she’s going to end up as a science experiment, or worse. Until a gorgeous stranger risks everything to save her, nearly dying to break her free of the enemy ship. He’s beautiful, strong, and mortally wounded.

The desire she feels is undeniable, but now it’s her turn to risk everything. Her life. Her freedom. The wild black market on an unknown alien world. And worst of all, the evil plans of a murderous alien ruler determined to take her as his next bride...and his next victim.

Will her knight protector be able to steal the bride before it’s too late?

Very good

I have appreciates the story and the voice of the reader is much more better in English than in French. Not only the voice but the assembly of the text. No duplicate part in English compare to French by Muriel R

I think I'm being desensitized, but...

...I'm kinda here for it.

I enjoyed this book much more than the last. I feel like what changed though, was me. I still find the sex words a tad repetitive, but I preferred the sex to story ratio in this one and I think that the ways of the more... er... aggressive alien species' just don't bother me as much. I have a difficult time with it because I have been in abusive controlling relationships and so giving up control is so incredibly not my thing. That said, I am understanding more and more that it's not to hurt anyone and that as the women get into these relationships, they seem to want what they are living.

I'm just not entirely sure if they put up with it because they love their men, or if they truly want it. It borders on non-con because the men are telling the women what to do. Even if someone says "I give consent" that can be revoked at any time, and that the men seem to hold themselves for ransom still kind of irks me.

OTHERWISE:

I am loving the universe built here and when not having sex (and again, this could very well be a me thing, so I am docking absolutely zero stars for that. I review based on whether I found it well enough written, if it was engaging and whether or not I liked the characters. If a world/universe is really badly written, I'll also dock stars, but I feel like it is unfair to dock stars for personal opinion... unless I really really was bothered, then I would likely say so) I absolutely ADORE the characters!

Looking forward to reading the next book

Great story dark and stormy!

Great story ... amazing book in the series or as a standalone. Narrator brought a dark and steamy energy. Passionate from start to finish can't wait for the next book.

What you would expect

The female protagonist is not a fainting, helpless damsel- which I appreciated. Overall it’s about what you would expect from this type of book. A quick romance with erotic scenes all wrapped up in a simple science-fiction type storyline. Not complex, an easy beach read.

I could listen to this performer all day- he does the female voices effortlessly.
