Loved this book series. great narration by Megan Follows takes me back in time, every time.

The audio is awkward. Seems like a technical glitch transferring it to audible. Megan Follows is one of the best performers of this story so it's truly a shame that it doesn't sound perfect. Not her fault. Its still listenable but just feels a bit muffled. Wouldn't want to listen to anyone else reading this so I'm committed to the awkward audio quality.

I'm so happy to have had the chance to listen to Megan read Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island. I've been reading the Anne books for decades and I'm very protective of them and of each of the characters. I wince at portrayals that stray far from the original writing. I believe Megan understands the characters LM Montgomery created. I only regret she didn't narrate all of the Anne books. Thank you Megan for your perfect depiction of Anne in the TV series as well as through these audio books. I'll go back to these books again over the years. (At first I disliked the music that accompanies some of the prose. I thought it was hokey. But I came to love it.)

Megan will always be Anne.
