Great story, bland narrator

I have always loved this story, so I was going to enjoy myself regardless. The narrator, however, managed to challenge my listen to it. Oh boy was he bland. Eventually my love won out, and I accepted his emotionless, bulldozing narration, and just let the story roll over me. I admit to picturing Pierce Brosnan and the 1989 TV miniseries the entire time, and I fell in love with Phileas Fogg all over again.

difficult to understand

the narrator was very slow paced and to me he was hard to understand. I got this book so my grandson would listen to it on a long trip we were taking and after 5 minutes all he could say is "Gram this is terrible, I speak faster than this person and he sounds funny".....definitely needs to be updated by a voice that is enjoyable and not one that puts you to sleep

Wonderful book, great narrator

I really enjoyed this book, it's full of interesting descriptions and unexpected action. It's truly a classic!

The book is full of surprises until The very end.

The narration is very good , it started kind of slow during the introduction but after that it has a great pace. It make the book more enjoyable than I expected.

Great story

Excellent story full of twists and turns but unfortunately I found the accent of the narrator a bit annoying as was the mispronunciation of a few key words and phrases but despite this, well worth it

very long

I knew the story of around the world in 80days and was knowing what I was in for but like driving a long familiar distance was uncertain by the halfway point if I should continue. other than length, good listen
