Publisher's Summary

The epic conclusion of the Tarot series!

A crippling wound. A war looming on the horizon. A demon king to kill.

Finn and his companions barely escaped their encounter with Bilel. But not without a cost - including the loss of Finn's left arm and the magical corruption that now plagues his body.

Despite those handicaps, Finn must keep pressing forward if he is to have any hope of bringing Rachael back. As the Seer predicted, the guilds and Khamsin have formed a fragile alliance. But before they can lay siege to Lahab, Finn and his companions must first find a way to defend themselves and their fledgling army from the effects of the god relic that Bilel now wields....

Which will send them deep into the heart of an ancient workshop. Along the way, they'll encounter advanced magical technology, new friends and foes, and will be pushed well beyond their limits. They will be reforged in the fires of adversity - forced to prove their mettle, even with the odds stacked against them.

Hopefully, it will be enough.

Because soon they will face a demon king and his armies.

Sort of predictable, thrilling nonetheless

Granted, some of the plot points are somewhat predictable and the writing feels redundant sometimes (same expressions used excessively), but I'd lie if I didn't say I enjoy AO and I'm excited for what's coming next!! David Stifel is also an amazing narrator, brings the story to life!

Just keeps getting better

Travis Bagwell has done it again. Another great book and continuation to an awesome story. The ending is definitely a cliffhanger that I was not expecting, however the build-up towards the continuing stories is fantastic! With my brow furrowed I shall sit patiently and await the next book.

alright.

I really didn't like the break in the action were you went to two new pov's. I could maybe ok with the first one (the female new player) but I would of enjoyed it somewhere else the book. it just broke the flow you were building up. other then that not too bad for the genre. I would love too see a reference to the other charters from the first books too see were they are timeline wise.

Better than original series.

I'm a big fan of the entire series so far. After listening to several litRPG books and liking the genre, this series has remained my favourite.

My main appeal to this side serie is that the main character is simply more enjoyable overall mainly due to the fact that he is a independent adult rather than a teenage boy.

As for this specific book, the story is generally good. The overall story arc is less interesting than the previous books, but it was nice to see tie ins with the main series throughout the book. It was also nice to see Finn be less masochistic for a change. My biggest annoyance with FINN was his tendancy to pretty much kill himself to achieve small wins... less of that in this book.

Minor gripe with this series is that although I find Finn far more interesting that Jason, the side characters are kind of boring and pretty much useless pions.

Excited to see where the story goes, but Im sad to see that its going to go back to Jason's POV.

I highly recommend anyone who is interested in the genre to grab the whole series.
