Publisher's Summary

New York Times best seller

This groundbreaking new book from New York Times best-selling author Daniel J. Siegel, MD, introduces listeners to his pioneering, science-based meditation practice.

Aware provides practical instruction for mastering the Wheel of Awareness, a life-changing tool for cultivating more focus, presence, and peace in one's day-to-day life.

An in-depth look at the science that underlies meditation's effectiveness, this audiobook teaches listeners how to harness the power of the principle "Where attention goes, neural firing flows, and neural connection grows". Siegel reveals how developing a Wheel of Awareness practice to focus attention, open awareness, and cultivate kind intention can literally help you grow a healthier brain and reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in your life.

Whether you have no experience with a reflective practice or are an experienced practitioner, Aware is a hands-on guide that will enable you to become more focused and present, as well as more energized and emotionally resilient in the face of stress and the everyday challenges life throws your way.

wasted my time

I wasted my time, I wish I listen to the motor pf my car motor running instead, no insightfulness, a lot of buzzwords. I found it to be complete waste of time

Quantum physics meets meditation

Dr. Siegel explores through a quantum physics lens what may be happening in our physical brains while we meditate. The benefits of a mindful awareness meditative practice are well established. What is less understood is the physics behind those benefits and how the practice changes our brains. This read is a deep dive into those possibilities which, for me, unexpectedly lead to a deep spiritual calm. This book is not for the faint of heart but is more than worth the effort to comprehend and integrate into our well being.

Excellent read!

I was a little confused as he began to explain physics... but soon realized the connection and it was fascinating! The connections Dan Siegel makes are very exciting and the ways of being it promotes is very uplifting. I will definitely read again!

Something not right

I cant put my finger on it but for some reason I found this audiobook very difficult to follow along. I think there is a good message in their but the way it is presented is falling short.
