"
Narrator Ramón de Ocampo brings out all the emotion in this tender, serious, funny, and warmly hopeful love story...Listeners will be swept up as Alex and Henry face questions of identity and coming out amid familial duties and political machinations." — AudioFile Magazine

What happens when America's First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?

When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through? Casey McQuiston's Red, White & Royal Blue proves: true love isn't always diplomatic.

Very Good!

Overall the book is very good and I would recommend it.

But I do have one significant issue with the book that led to me being confused for quite sometime when listening, and it's related to the actual synopsis of the book itself which is misleading and to some mentions in the book, the young prince is described as the prince of wales in the synopsis, but he's not. The Prince of Wales is the heir to the throne as such I was under the impression for a large part of the book that he was, but he never was and it's actually his mother that's the heir to the throne, and his mother can't be Princess of Wales in her own right, as the title is only held by the heir apparent when they are a son of a monarch, as such all of the times he was being address as " .... of Wales" is not accurate.

An example of this is Elizabeth II, she was never Princess of Wales, when her father became King she was known as Her Royal Highness The Princess Elizabeth and when she married she added the title of Duchess of Edinburgh. Until she became Queen her children where known by their father's title, so Charles was His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Edinburgh.

I must admit that for anyone that does not know anything about royal titles, this would not make any difference, but it was very confusing to me for much of the book, as I'm very familiar with the use of royal titles.

Hilarious, Intelligent, Addictive

The author is simply a genius. I read 3-4 books a month and this is by far one of the best books I’ve read in my life.
I am amazed by their creative brain and how they could have concocted this deliriously beautiful book. I laughed out loud, I cried, I was deeply moved, inspired and touched - and also very turned on!!! Bravo!

Really enjoyed it!

It sort of presented an alternate reality to the reality that we have now, where love wins. Very affecting.

Charming If You Remember What It Is

It's a very sweet story as long as you remember that it's not an analysis of political processes or day-to-day life as a royal. If you go into it looking for political accuracy and a deep-dive into how the Crown functions, this is not the book for you.
However, if you're looking for a sweet story about two people coming to understand things about themselves as they fall in love, it’s great.
Sweet, funny, hot, and occasionally heartwrenching, it's easily become one of my favorite books.

As wonderful as you would imagine!

Seeing all the hype about the movie on Prime really intrigued me so I just had to read/listen to the book. cause we all know the book is better than the movie 100% of the time.My god was this cute and fun to listen to. Loved every minute and couldn't stop.

The overall story is great especially for LGBTQ+ to hear the struggle of coming out, and discovering who you are. Granted, I don't think most of us had to deal with royalty or the presidency as well

The narrator was great, some voices were hard to differentiate between sometimes but he was solid in his emotional scenes and a great listen.
