Story
The year 2020 was going to be the best year of Stassi’s life. Besides getting engaged and feeling like she was on top of the world career-wise, she bought her first house and was planning her dream Italian wedding. The future showed so much freaking promise—until it all went to hell. Stassi may not be perfect—she may have made some (major) mistakes—but she does feel like she has some insight (and plenty of hilarious tales) about getting knocked up, called out, and learning from what went wrong.

Story
What does “Give them Lala” mean? It means giving the truest, most honest version of yourself to the world. It means being authentic, bold, adventurous, and having an unapologetic approach to life. Hollywood is where Lauren Burningham, aspiring actress from Utah, fully embraced her alter-ego Lala Kent, entrepreneur, entertainer, and film and television star. Some say she’s rude; Lala says she claps back. Some say she’s too bold; Lala knows she’s reality TV gold. Truth is, without giving them Lala, Lauren could never have become the woman she is today.

Publisher's Summary
Discover how to embrace your best basic self in this laugh-out-loud funny guide from the breakout star of Bravo’s hit reality show Vanderpump Rules, perfect for fans of the relatable and entertaining books by the Betches and Andi Dorfman.
Millions of Vanderpump Rules viewers and podcast listeners know Stassi Schroeder as a major defender of basic bitch rights. There’s nothing more boring than people who take themselves too seriously or think you have to be pretentious to be cool. Stassi champions the things that many of us are afraid to love publicly for fear of being labeled basic: lattes, pugs, bubbly cocktails, millennial pink, #OOTD (outfit of the day, obvs), astrology, hot dogs, the perfect pair of Louboutins, romantic comedies...the list goes on and on.
This audiobook is for people tired of pretending they would rather see a Daniel Day-Lewis movie about sewing or read War and Peace than watch a Saw marathon or listen to...well, this audiobook!
In Next Level Basic, the reality star, podcast queen, and ranch dressing expert gives you hilarious and pointed lessons on how to have fun and celebrate yourself, with exclusive stories from her own life and on the set of Vanderpump Rules. From her very public breakups to her most intimate details about her plastic surgery, Stassi shares her own personal experiences with her trademark honesty - all with the hope you can learn something from them.

4 hours I’ll never get back
I never write reviews and don’t like being negative but this has got to be the worst book I’ve ever read/listened to in my life. I didn’t know who Stassi Schroeder was before I purchased this book as I am not a huge reality tv watcher but was intrigued by the title.....I’m all about learning new things but this was so narcissist and ridiculous I’m embarrassed to even say i finished this book. Congrats to her for writing a book and all but to the readers out there pls don’t even waste your time!

An English major?
Save your time. This book was absolutely awful. I’m sure it’s better if you read it instead of listen to it. I can’t handle the “totes” and “maj” and “obvi” in every other sentence.

Fell short
I honestly was hoping for some juicy behind the scenes gossip. I knew Stassi was a narcissist and self centered, but I always liked her on Vanderpump Rules. I was very disappointed that she ended up apologizing for the invisible "white privilege." she has at the end to save her sponsors. Why not just get better sponsors?

Really wanted to like it!
I read the reviews and should have listened. I like Stassi so I thought it would be a fun listen but I couldn’t even finish it. It was just a bunch of nonsense and I didn’t find it entertaining at all. It sounded like it was written by a 14 year old girl. I think maybe that would be the demographic that could enjoy this. I still like her but sadly didn’t enjoy this at all.
