First half intriguing, then it was drawn out
I think this book would have been good it if was half as long. The dynamic in the family was really interesting in the beginning, especially the mother and daughter. Then it just got really drawn out and repetitive, almost like it had many climaxes of the same thing that never really peaked. The last few chapters were very boring with unnecessary detail that was not filled with any suspense.

Could hit to.close to home for some.
It is hard to imagine a child can think this way but having a friend struggling with a child like this, well the book hit pretty close to home. the trigger warning on this should be for parents of children with severe behavioural/mental health problems. The author obviously did some research. Very on point.

Confusing ending...
This book was very well written until the very end. I found myself left confused as to what was going to happen, wondering if this means there will be a second book. The author did a fabulous job of portraying the characters. What a disturbing read at times as well. Captivating though. #Audible1

Good but could have been great
I liked the way the characters developped and you could get a real sense of their emotions. It was a chilling story but not horror. I feel it coud have been a bit more on the horror side and thats what I hoped for as I listened further but the ending fell flat for me.

so annoyed!
that was the worst ending wtf.
Story was ok, but for a story to end on a cliffhanger like that, I don't even wanna hear the second part (assuming there will be one) don't waste your time or money on this piece of garbage.

Too repetitive
I ended up not finishing this book, something I very rarely do. I kept expecting something to happen, but it was just the same repetitive storyline hour after hour. Disappointing after all the positive reviews.

Left A Lot To Be Desired
I was totally enthralled for the first half of the story, but the latter half felt drawn out and flat. The story had so much potential- so many tiny details that could have been woven together to create crazy plot twists and an epic climax... But alas, I feel like I just spent the last 4 hours waiting on a shocking ending that never came. Very unfortunate, as the first half of the book was fantastic.
