The national best seller
Hilarious best friends Cat and Nat created a massive online community of moms by sharing their ultra-real and just a bit R-rated dispatches from the mom trenches. From what not to eat a few days after giving birth (chicken wings) to the most effective ways to dodge post-partum sex, Cat & Nat’s Mom Truths shares everything no one will tell you about having kids.
Mixing memoir, humor, and advice, Cat and Nat tell never-before-told stories about the stress, guilt, joy, and laundry (oh the laundry!) of being a mom in their first book. With seven kids between them and millions of fans on social media, they get real about the parts of parenting that somehow don’t make the Instagram feed. Sharing their outrageous humor, fearless myth-busting, and genuine comfort, they walk you from pregnancy to the toddler years and beyond. And they dole out ridiculously honest advice, like what you think you need at the hospital when you have your first baby (lip gloss) versus what you actually need (hemorrhoid pillow), and how worried you should really be about germs (less than you are). Fearless crusaders against the perfection myth and all the gluten-free, sugar-free baking it entails, Cat and Nat assure you that you’re already doing a great job, making this an essential companion for moms everywhere.
What the critics say
"Accept the chaos, embrace the mom bod and stress less about germs, among other things. That's courtesy of Catherine Belknap and Natalie Telfer, friends from high school who reconnected as first-time mothers. Parenting books left them feeling like they already blew it, the writers said, so they looked elsewhere for affirmation." (Wall Street Journal)
“With their Mom Truths that’ll resonate with overwhelmed moms everywhere, Cat and Nat tell you in a hundred wildly hilarious ways the easiest thing to forget, and the most important thing to remember: You’re already doing a great job.” (Dawn Dais, author of The S--t No One Tells You About Pregnancy: A Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth and Beyond)
“Cat and Nat’s Mom Truths takes everything that’s scary about being a mom and makes it hilarious.” (Karen Alpert, New York Times best-selling author of I Heart My Little A-Holes)

Entertaining and funny!
Cat and Nat do a great job narrating this book. It is very real life and has lots of funny wow moments. I could relate to 80% of the stories and points, and felt it was an easy, light-hearted, funny, realistic read overall. Very entertaining! Loved listening to it as an audio book as both their voices are entertaining. Feels like hanging and listening to friends almost!

Funny and relate-able!
This book has a nice witty tone to it. Both authors are the ones that actually narrate the book and they are very funny ladies. The story is real and raw to what is expected as being a parent. Things that most other books don't mention. Its an easy listen and fun if you are looking to find others who struggle and go through parenthood, the good and the bad and the ugly!

I couldn't get past the first hour. Too much babble about nothing. Was hoping for witty, relatable banter - not not one lol moment.
Wish I had rt it for my credit within the 30days but kept hoping it would get better. Nope.

All mums must read!
Solid advice and stories all mums should hear. Creates such an “Ah-ha!” moment when someone else has the same experiences and feelings, especially from such entertaining and colourful women. Hope they continue to write more!

Thought it would be funnier
It is funny but for the most part it’s preachy. Can’t get over the nasty attitude toward the talky Play date Mom. I am THAT mom. Sometimes play dates are the only interaction with adults I ever get. How about a little understanding for the socially awkward mom?

I think this book is good but definitely not great. I admit, I did not finish it, but decided to return it. Maybe Bossypants caused me to set the bar too high. Maybe my entrance into motherhood was too many years ago. This book is casual and a lot like listening to good friends. I just prefer the ones I have in real life.

Great fun read
The book was interesting and I love that the authors both read it. I 100% disagree with the sex chapter though. I do not like how they gave women ideas on how to blow off their husbands about sex. Yes, sex immediately after having a baby needs to wait and men need to be patient. No one should be having sex until they are ready and healed up. Sex is a very important part of a relationship though for both parties involved. I loved the book except that one chapter.

Love Feeling Like I’m Not Crazy
Loved this book and love the authors! Hearing that we aren’t the only ones going through this crazy life as a mom gave me such comfort plus the funny parts were just what I needed.

A MUST read for every expectant mom
I wish I had this book before my first child. They really blow the lid off of the “lie” of the perfect insta world of parenting that so many of us see and wonder “why doesn’t it look like that for me?” With compassion and humor they inspire a realistic and open minded attitude of motherhood sans the above and beyond competitiveness any millennial mom has experienced. They keep it so real, and it’s delightful. Highly recommend.
