Publisher's Summary
‘You are sharing the Dark Lord's thoughts and emotions. The Headmaster thinks it inadvisable for this to continue. He wishes me to teach you how to close your mind to the Dark Lord.'
Dark times have come to Hogwarts. After the Dementors' attack on his cousin Dudley, Harry Potter knows that Voldemort will stop at nothing to find him. There are many who deny the Dark Lord's return, but Harry is not alone: a secret order gathers at Grimmauld Place to fight against the Dark forces. Harry must allow Professor Snape to teach him how to protect himself from Voldemort's savage assaults on his mind. But they are growing stronger by the day and Harry is running out of time...
Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.
What the critics say
"To call Dale a 'reader' of books is like saying Monet was a Sunday painter." (Los Angeles Times)

This makes me so happy!
I forgot how completely livid Umbridge makes me! Like literally fuming with rage. WARNING: Jim Dale does SUCH an amazing job of reading and telling a story and gets you so invested in it you may chuck your mobile device across the room in Umbridge-induced-anger.

The author wrote an extraordinary series and Jim Dale does it justice by bringing the characters to life!

why the American version on Canadian audible?
Jim Dale is fantastic don't get me wrong, but in Canada we grew up with the UK versions of the Harry Potter books and Jim Dale is reading the American versions. while it is subtle the differences, a true Canadian HP Fan KNOWS. Soccer used instead of Football, Sorcerer Stone instead of Philosopher's stone.
I see the UK audible has the Stephen Fry versions available, why can't Audible Canada get those instead...? I literally can't be the only one that is upset by this.

Where the entire story really come together
I enjoyed the whole series, the narrator is excellent and the saga of Harry Potters life really starts to culminate towards the final confrontation that will shake the wizarding world.

God I can’t stand him dales voice
Why does Luna sound like a 55 year old chain smoking man? Why does bellatrix sound exactly like fleur? Sometimes I appreciate him dales voice and other times I wanna stop listening forever. Obviously great story that is still worth buying/listening to.

Story Amazing; Women’s Voices Lacking
I continue to really enjoy this books story, as I have with all the books/stories. And until this book, I have enjoyed the narration, until this book. In this book, the Narrator has Professor Grubbly Plank sounding exactly like Professor McGonagall. Luna Lovegood sounding exactly like Professor Sybill Trelawney (Divination). And Luna Lovegood should sound sweet and sleepy, not haunted.

Great Story, Badly Chosen Character Voices
This wonderful story was enjoyed, and for the most part was good, the performance however dragged it down. Bellatrix parts spoken in an awful fake accent made me cringe, as well as the centaurs voices. Really distracts from the story.
