Publisher's Summary

To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that enter-ing the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death.

To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times best-selling trilogy The Mortal Instruments.

it had me swooning without the whole book, But the darkness of the truth was never clouded. Storyline has stayed strong so far. Can't wait to start book 4.

not a fan if the narrator

didn't really like the narrator after hearing her narrate the 2nd book I wasn't excited for this one but she grew on me, and then reading reviews about the narrators on the next books is upsetting. wishing for Mae back honestly. but loved this book and the narrator still did a good job

definitely not a novel for children

Despite the introduction to City of Glass, this book is not for kids. It’s violent, but amazing, funny, and so heartbreakingly tragic at times, I cried. For those mature enough to handle graphic depictions of violence and the concept of genocide, I 100% suggest this book.

LOVE this series

I love this book, so intense but everything comes together perfectly. Amazingly written. I can't wait to buy the book and finish the series. I will say tho, this isn't a kids book. The fighting scenes are very graphic. Descriptions of experiments done on other people are very graphic. I really wouldn't suggest this book series to anyone under 16/17.
