Publisher's Summary
Searching for the truth just turned deadly.
Disgraced investigative journalist Pip West is devastated when she discovers her best friend’s body facedown in a tranquil lake. When cops and federal agents determine her friend overdosed and then drowned, Pip knows they’re mistaken and intends to prove it.
Special Agent Hunt Kincaid doesn’t trust journalists and has no patience for Pip’s delusions, especially since her meddling could reveal why the FBI is interested in her friend’s last days. The dead scientist worked at the cutting edge of vaccine research and might have a connection to a new, weaponized, vaccine-resistant anthrax strain that just hit the black market.
Pip is thrown off her game by grief and her unexpected attraction to the handsome federal agent. Hunt battles the same unwelcome pull, determined to resist the heat that threatens to consume them both. But the more Pip digs, the closer she gets to both the sexy FBI agent and to a bioweapons terrorist who’s more than capable of cold-bloodedly sacrificing anyone who gets in his way.

The series keeps on rolling!
This is the 10th installment of the cold justice series. It’s hard to say which one of the 10 is best, but cold blooded is right up there. Actually, they are all outstanding thrill rides coupling FBI investigations and unlikely love. Toni Anderson and Dove continue to make this series one of the most listenable and engaging fictions in recent years.

recurring theme
I am enjoying the books in this series. However, a recurring theme is the main characters having insecurities and hang ups that affect their judgment. And these errors in judgment are used by the author to keep the story going. Because if the characters reacted with their brain and not overwhelming emotion then the correct conclusions would be drawn and the story over much faster. The bad thing is that the reader is easily able to leap ahead and then has to wait for the book to catch up. There are enough twist and turns to keep the reader from completing figuring things our before the end though. I like the main characters, the plot and the romance.

Well written
The first chapter grabbed me and didn’t let go! Characters were well developed. Since I have listened to other books narrated by Eric Dove, I was delighted he was the narrator for this book. I read the book in two days and it was difficult to put it down. Have thoroughly enjoyed the series!!

Okay Story. Great Narration.
So this was just an okay story in this series for me. I thought it was a bit messy. The romance was a bit too much and seemed forced and not genuine at all. I am a fan of Toni Anderson and really enjoyed most of previous books in this series, this one was just meh. As for the narration, it was very good. I am a fan of Eric Dove. The narration made the story better.

Good romance turned thrillerish...
This is the 1oth audio of this story and I must enjoy them to keep devoting so much time to this story! I have to say that I've found myself a bit attached to the characters. I really enjoyed the symbolism and meaning behind the story. It did drag a bit here and there for me... I would have loved a bit more suspense... but that could just be me. Eric G Dove is a great narrator. He brings his characters to life. I'll admit that he's a bit... over the top for me. But not so much that I'm turned off the series or even enough to adversely affect my thoughts. Perhaps just tone it down a bit for the next one :)

Friend who believed
This is the latest from Toni Anderson Cold Series and I really enjoyed the hero and heroine. I liked that she believed from the beginning that her friend was true to herself. The story flowed along nicely. Eric G Dove did a marvellous job as usual on narration to bring Toni characters to life. Action, romance and the bad guys made this a very enjoyable listen

What a Mysteries & Thrillers story that ends in a disguised marriage proposal?
Cold Blooded. This mysterious & Thrillers piece was awesomely written, and you know what? Toni Anderson, you know how to write a very good book. Most of these narrators have a resounding talent to bringing REAL life into written books when they read them. Narrator, Eric G. Dove; that’s exactly what you did to this story. Not every one of us have such talent, hence let credit be given where it is due. Thank you for making me to henceforth look for Toni Anderson’s future books. Your narration gives me a clear picture of a whole life of issues at stake, which next time, whenever I spot a Mysterious & Thrillers books, I’ll be obliged to look through or give it a second thought. For those of you that will read this read review. Please never hesitate to buy this book. It’s worth your money. At least, it will help to henceforth know that life is just like a piece of cookie, it breaks where you least expect it. Once it is broken, with the knowledge from this book, you will now be equipped to know how to forge ahead in life. If that young victim mistress could end up getting an marriage proposal from an FBI agent sent to investigate her case. It can be you. There are firm possibilities in difficult times. I learnt it through this book, Cold Blooded. This is the work of a committed team and I bless the Lord God for a well-presented piece. Wow! You are a good kisser. An FBI finding information about a beautiful lady derailed to commit a loving crime by kissing the target, though he was warned to stay clear throughout the process. That’s what lust taste can do for every one of us if we are not very careful in discharging our duties. Young childhood memories with a derailed parent can be a tough lesson. What happened after 4 years? Wanting to fit, but it could not work. “Sydney and her family saved me. I don’t like charity. Why? Because whenever someone offers you a favor, be it a service or an object of whatsoever stance.” You are in debt to that person indirectly. That’s why she is no longer willing to do. They were both rule brokers. “Never give up! Never surrender.” Is a quote I grabbed from the piece of the story I listened. There a whole a lot of lessons to learn from this faithful story. Awesome. Oh how I wish I can write like this. It wasn’t his fault, who’s fault was it? “I love you.” Is the phrase the FBI Agent has been waiting for throughout the process. Who else would I make a sacrifice for? I’m going to try to write a novel. Not me, oh. It’s the book I’m trying to imitate like this. Gorgeously design and very well narrated. Thank you.

When neither the journalist nor the agent stopped...
[Received a promo code in exchange of a review.] This one actually surprised me in a good way. I’m usually a bit aloof to stories described in the way that it is (“The journalist looking for the truth and the FBI agent who wants her to stop”), but it doesn’t seem as representative as I thought this time. This one is, overall, about two professionals who are being human. I myself have watched “Castle” and am getting caught on to “Bones”. If you are in a similar viewing segment, this book might be for you. The narrator seems to be overdoing it somewhat (think Jack McFarland’s “This is how an announcer talks!” in “Will & Grace”), but that can generally be ignored.

Good Mystery/Romance balance
Good story! Enjoyed the balance of mystery and romance throughout. Anderson did a wonderful job of keeping you in the book. I loved her writing style, however, the book did drag in some places for me. I still recommend reading/listening to it though. Dove was easy to listen to and did great with differentiating the characters. I look forward to listening to more of Anderson and Rove's work. *I received a free credit for this audio from the author, but this is my honest review.

Suspenseful crime thriller...a forbidden love story
A crime reporter and an FBI agent work together to solve the cold blooded murder of a scientist researching an Anthrax vaccine. Performance: Eric G. Dove is the narrator voicing this script. While his tone and sound is pleasant I felt like he was just reading the words not performing the scenes. Eric’s performance reminds me of a host for a show rather than a book. Maybe it’s suppose to read this way considering it’s written in the third person. However, I will always prefer a dual narration. Personally Eric’s voice is not what I envisioned for this type of story. His performance didn’t hinder my enjoyment of this suspenseful story. Toni wrote an exceptional script and her words spoke for themselves. Story: West and Kincaid look for a bioweapons terrorist. Kincaid is suspicious of journalists and West is suspicious of law enforcement. They put aside their suspicions and focus on the case together. This a character driven story with many possible suspects. I liked the main characters especially Pip. She was tenacious and persistent in her search for answers. Hunt was honest and charming. This is a smart and intelligent story. While this was a suspenseful crime thriller, Toni worked in an unconventional romance between the agent and the journalist. Overall: I plan on purchasing the other 2 books from the cold blooded series. I really enjoyed Toni’s writing style.
