Almost like a Shakespearean tragedy, Rob Halford's memoir is a reflection of a rockstar trapped in the closet and a victim of his own success. Instead of the usual boring tales of sex with countless groupies and drunken run ins with police in an Italian exotic sports car, Halford's story is one of decades of personal frustration, abuse, and the black hole that can come from success. I've always been a huge fan of Priest and some of Halford's solo work, having gone through my own share of tradgeies and used his music as a support to get me through. That said, learning how how he poured his pain, tears and guts into crafting that music, makes it all the more special to me. Though, and I'm not remotely homophobic, I may stop belting out classics like Jawbreaker while driving in my car, having learned it's true meaning. Or maybe I will, I can't help myself.

I highly recommend this book, read by HRH Metal God himself, if you are looking for an honest and refreshing take on behind the scenes lives of rock and roll. He has touched so many lives with his music, and is the unofficial rock spokesman for gay rights, even if he never wants to be too political. Enjoy, I couldn't put it down until I was finished, and neither will you!

Being a huge Halford and preist fan i was really looking forward to this.
Rob is a fantastic narrator, and in his down time should consider doing it between gigs for other books.
The book is extremely well written, it's quirky, heart breaking, funny, sad, and very positive every emotion you can have you will feel in this book.
Good job and well done.
I pray you never stop screaming your titts off.

Kept me glued from start to finish, another reviewer mentioned Halford sounds like the narrator from Thomas the Tank Engine and it stuck in my head throughout. He’s an excellent story teller.
