Publisher's Summary
"The audiobook version includes recorded conversations between the two from the 1990s to the present, delivering a compelling informal profile. As a permanent record of Ginsburg’s voice and fighting spirit, it’s an inspiring listen." (Paste)
This program includes recorded conversations between Jeffrey Rosen and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
In this audiobook, Ruth Bader Ginsburg offers an intimate look at her life and career, through an extraordinary series of conversations with the head of the National Constitution Center.
Conversations with RBG is a remarkable and unique audiobook, an informal portrait of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, drawing on a series of her conversations with Jeffrey Rosen, starting in the 1990s and continuing through the Trump era. Rosen, a veteran legal journalist, scholar, and president of the National Constitution Center, shares with us the justice’s observations on a variety of topics, and her intellect, compassion, sense of humor, and humanity shine through. The affection they have for each other as friends is apparent in their banter and in their shared love for the Constitution and for opera.
With Justice Ginsburg’s approval, Rosen has collected her wisdom from their many conversations in which she discusses the future of the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade, her favorite dissents, the cases she would most like to see overruled, the #MeToo movement, how to be a good listener, how to lead a productive and compassionate life. These frank exchanges illuminate the steely determination, self-mastery, and wit that have inspired women and men of all ages to embrace the “Notorious RBG”.
Whatever the topic, Justice Ginsburg always has something interesting - and often surprising - to say. And while few of us will ever have the opportunity to chat with her face-to-face, Jeffrey Rosen brings us by her side as never before. Conversations with RBG is a deeply felt portrait of an American hero.

Easy Read yet Another Informative
reading this book did feel like the author had insider knowledge of RBG as a person and not just the supreme court justice. learning how RBG handled the inevitable internal conflict between the law as it is written today and the moral and societal shaping of the law for a future time was very interesting.

such an Extraordinary Lady
I have always been interested in RGB, from the outside looking in she was a hard lady who stuck to her beliefs and didn't sway. This book shows the humanity and humor of a well spoken and written woman. Hearing Jeff's questions and RGB'S answers shone a light on an erra that was rife with turmoil. The audio excerpt at the end is a special bonus.

Astonishing.
This audiobook was spectacular. What a treat to hear Justice Ginsburg speak on so many topics in such an eloquent way. The interviewer was very particular about the areas that he focused on and it made for a wonderful bunch of conversations.

A true gem and a delight
Even though it was difficult to follow an intricate conversation about the law and the constiturion as an audio document, I got used to it and greatly enjoyed this book. Time well spent and could not be any more entertaining.

She's a Buddhist Conservative
Every lawyer would benefit from listening to RBG. Especially " litigators". She has Buddha qualities. And her views on judicial activism would be news to many conservatives.

RBG
I loved this conversation with Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It was refreshing to hear opinions on various constitutional cases and her overall belief on equality for women, but also that of men, as they must carry on in her footsteps.
I hope more young people will take heart to her message to th

A National Treasure!
Thank you for sharing your conversations with this wonderful person! So sad to lose her during these incomprehensible times. We can only hope that when another appointment opens up that someone ( preferably) a female will be appointed and that she will be well educated in RBG’s approach to fairness and brilliance in her job.
She will be sorely missed.

I love her words, but this delivery not so much
Audiobooks fit my life better these days, but in this instance I’d prefer to read with my eyes and let my brain give RBG a voice. The narration seems so stiff. It’s not terrible, just not working for me the day after RBG’s death.
The author is very lucky to have had these experiences and I thank him for sharing.

The Amazing RBG
RBG is a remarkable woman, and it's amazing to learn how much of an impact she had on furthering race and gender equality. The content and recorded conversations are organized into topical chapters. There are some repetition and references to law cases that needed more background to fully understand the impact of the ruling. It would also be useful to know all of the Supreme Court justices that served since the 1990s to better follow the shift in case rulings and RBG's influence on the court.

An amazing learning experience!
This presentation was moving, emotional, and educational in profound ways. Her mechanism of turning an issue upside down to help our country see things differently is, I think, one of RBG’s hallmarks.
I call it “turning the Rubix Cube over”. This is not even my concept. It is Stephen King’s. (On Writing) I think these two people would have been good friends.

I found this easy to listen to and learned a lot I did not know about our judicial system and many of the court rulings. Very interesting and useful. Should be offered to every teenager to lay some basic historical understanding s.
