An unhealthy friendship takes a sinister turn. Almost everyone has a friend whom they barely tolerate. It’s that person whose jokes are always annoying, who tries to butt in on nights out, or who keeps coming over unannounced. For Martha, that friend is her new neighbor, Jennie.

Jennie worships Martha. She loves everything about her: Martha’s house, Martha’s impressive children, Martha’s attractive husband, even the way Martha dresses. But when Jennie starts changing, gaining confidence and succeeding in love and work, Martha’s life begins to come apart at the seams.

Gillian White’s Copycat is a biting suburban satire about a fraught relationship between frenemies taken to its most extreme conclusion.

I really loved this book saying. It got me listening from start to finish. Very compelling story and I enjoyed the ride.
The narration was good for Martha’s voice but I really really disliked the voice of Jennie and the kids.
So childish and irritating.
Don’t know how I feel about the ending because I got confused and had to listen to it two times to decipher who was the criminal. Who did what and who was charged. I am just guessing who it was really. It just said She with her thoughts. Very confusing with no names mentioned.
That kind of put me off for I enjoying the book until then. Nevertheless a good plot.
Overall a good book and I’m glad I listened. Thank you Audible Plus for including in my Library.

Great book suspenseful and unpredictable

The narrator of Martha seems unable to pronounce the simplest of words. Dog for example is pronounced dawg. It’s very annoying

Interesting enough. Narration very odd
