Publisher's Summary

In the wake of their recent loss, the Caverns and Creatures gang are left hanging. Do their choices amount to more than waiting around to die of thirst and leaping to a quicker death?

Probably, or else this would have been a much shorter story.

Another excellent instalment

If you have enjoyed the series up until now, you will enjoy this book. The humour, as always, would have to come up a couple of levels to be sophomoric.

The book is starts out with everybody who is still alive, on the Crescent Shadow and then they all get split up from there. From resurrecting Basilisk excrement to pixies giving hand jobs the various tales unfold. There are a few twists, some obvious and some less so. One of the things I liked about this book is that it was a complete story. While there was a setup for the next book, there wasn't a cliffhanger. I would recommend that you read at least the first and second books in the series before reading this one because without the background on the characters, it would be less funny, and less understandable. I did like that the author took for granted that you had read the previous books and didn't spend unnecessary time rehashing past events.
