Publisher's Summary

If you build it, love will come…to Hope's Crossing.

Alexandra McKnight prefers a life of long workdays and...short-term relationships, and she's found it in Hope's Crossing. A sous chef at the local ski resort, she's just been offered her dream job at an exclusive new restaurant being built in town. But when it comes to designing the kitchen, Alex finds herself getting up close and personal with construction foreman Sam Delgado....

At first glance, Sam seems perfect for Alex. He's big, tough, gorgeous - and in town for only a few weeks. But when Sam suddenly moves into a house down the road, Alex suspects that the devoted single father of a six-year-old boy wants more from her than she's willing to give. Now it's up to Sam to help Alex see that, no matter what happened in her past, together they can build something more meaningful in Hope's Crossing.

predictable

i continue reading because I'm engrossed in the characters... but honestly, the storylines are similar in each one so far. the two characters meet, instant attraction, can't think of anyone or anything else, passionate kisses, or or two miscommunication moments, then 2 weeks (months) later profess to be deeply in love. id love to see something a little less scripted? maybe they can't stand each other at first, or grudging admiration, or fall in love but experience a real life crisis, then come back together and have to work thru something...

What a Lovely Story

RaeAnne Thayne has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Love the wholesome fiction here and lack of steamy sex scenes. Her fiction feels safe and secure. Good quality writing with a talent for addressing life’s realities yet making everything work out beautifully. These stories in this series could be compared to the best comfort food. Perfect for anytime of year, but brings a warmth to the cold winter here in NY. So glad to have found these.

Helping Others

I have enjoyed the over-all theme of this series: the small town of Hope's Crossing where residents truly believe in helping neighbors, friends and even strangers.

While each book concentrates on a different couple, the true entertainment value for me was the many ways characters found to uplift and encourage other people.

How events can affect your whole life

What made the experience of listening to Currant Creek Valley the most enjoyable?

Thought this was a sad book. So much tragedy. Good story that is a good addition to the series

What other book might you compare Currant Creek Valley to and why?

Similar to Robyn Carr's Thunder Point and Virgin River series. Emphasis on the story and characters and no so reliant on sex. Emphasis on attraction.

What about Claire Christie’s performance did you like?

Does a fairly good job with the various characters

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. All the prolonged illness and tragedy.
