A great comprehensive guide on the basics you need to know. I definitely found lots of answers to many questions I had. Overall a great listen for a first time dog owner. Zak also has a great library of content on his Youtube page in case you needed some visuals!

ZAK IS AWESOME!!!
I absolutely love this book, which I've now listened to twice in preparation for my new puppy (Clifford the Little Yorkshire Pudding, in case you were wondering) and will no doubt listen to many more times. Zak knows his stuff, and he does a fantastic job of explaining every important factor of dog training with great detail. I've also listened to his 2nd book, and I've been binging his youtube channel, which I cannot recommend enough to anyone with a dog in their life!!!

Time will tell..
I am going to apply what I have learned here to training a high energy dog. The principles seem sound and the old dominance-type training has its limitations.

Loved it! Perfect for dog owners / pre-owners
A must read to get yourself set-up before getting a puppy. Also good youtube videos! Even if you have a dog you will learn a lot on how to get your dog amazing!

Zak is a true everyday Hero.
I can't say enough good things about this person. This advice is the best for new puppy owners. watch his videos. read his books. I love that his main focus is to reinforce a loving relationship between you and your dog.
