Saved My Life
I see that a few people dislike this book, so I'm going to go straight into the review.
If you are experiencing anxiety (to the point where it is affecting your day to day life), panic attacks, or crazy thoughts, this is the book for you.
If you are just simply stressed out, or a little anxious about something in the future, this book may not seem helpful.
This book will be a LIFE CHANGER if you have INTENSE anxiety and/or panic attacks.
It's been a year now since I've have anxiety, and it was affecting me everyday. I would fear having a panic attack in transit. I would fear not being "hydrated" enough and fear fainting during class. It was horrible. I felt as if I was losing my mind. But then, I found DARE.
I only wish I found this book earlier. Barry McDonagh didn't just tell a story, he goes into your mind and teaches you how to treat anxiety.
I am so grateful that I found this book, it has saved my life.

Mind-blowingly effective
If you're just looking to reduce stress or enhance your "zen" then this book is not for you. If you have started to develop an all-consuming pattern of anxiety or even soul-crushing panic attacks, this book can save you. I bought into the process immediately and started to invite the feelings in and started to make inroads immediately. Get a clean bill of health first and use that as your jumping off point ...it'll work.

A Great Tool in Coping with Anxiety
the first half of this book was the perfect pep talk I needed to believe in my fight against anxiety. The second half outlines more of the specific situations and environments that you might need help navigating.
I loved this book as an audio book, and found myself having to write down some of the messages to help solidify some of the messages.
Would highly recommend to anybody struggling with anxiety and panic attacks.

definitely one of the more helpful books.
So far the most helpful book. He gets it! Many moments of the book helped me through anxiety and panick attacks. Is the Dare method going to be easy? Nope! But I believe this book is going to be what I needed.

please be patient. read more than once
like with your anxiety you need to be patient, it takes time. read it more than once if you have to until sinks in... you will notice missing some points the first time you read it... I have been struggling with anxiety and panic desorder since I'm 9 and thanks to this book I have been able to understand more of what's going on inside my head.... still professional counseling helps to speed up the process... don't give up there is hope always and love is stronger than your defeating mind-tricking believes.

I love myself
listened to this over the course of an entire day it was extremely helpful. I've been suffering constant panic attacks and as the book continued through the day I used more and more of the techniques he elaborated on. I feel much better now than when I started the book and I suspect that my recovery will be all the more quick because of it.
his reading of the book was excellent very smooth and calming. I was WAAAY to panicked to read that's why I choose an audio book and am happy I could listen to the entire thing without an incident. highly suggest this book for anyone that struggles with anxiety or is currently dealing with multiple panic attacks.
