Publisher's Summary

There are worse things than death. Things that lurk in the shadows and slip into your dreams. Things that have no business existing. Things that once slept...but have now awoken.

For Callypso Lillis, the fae magic that now runs through her veins is equal parts curse and good fortune. For the very thing that bonds her to Desmond Flynn, the King of the Night, also makes her vulnerable to the Thief of Souls, a man who wants to break the world...and Callie along with it.

But it’s not just the Thief whose shadow looms over the Otherworld. Des’s father is back from the dead, and he wants revenge on the son who sent him to the grave in the first place.

Des and Callie must figure out how to stop both men, and time is running out. Because there are forces at play working to tear the lovers apart once and for all...and unfortunately for them, death is no longer the worst thing to fear.

Absolutely horrible

Such disappointment with book three. I really liked book one and two. I can never get my precious time back. To any one reading this review save your credit and time. This book was poorly written.

could of had a better ending

I enjoyed the story very much it was funny and kept me wanting more but I did not like the ending.I felt as though the ending was rushed and did not correlate with the hints and riddles that was given throughout the story.

BEST SERIES EVER!!!

By far one of the best series I've ever read. Hooked from the beginning. I honestly cannot understand what some of the bad reviews are talking about because this was so well written and the romance -rediculously amazing-definitely adult romance (insert giddy squeal here)!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Oh and the last book is soooo not rushed... ignore the crazies telling you anything bad about this series because they're just not true. I will be reading more by this author for sure!!!

I really tried

I sincerely enjoyed books 1 &2, and I was looking forward to the 3rd book and close of this series. It’s seems that the author was too caught up in focusing on the sex scenes. There were just too many. I like a good steamy love scene like anyone else, but these were graphic and super long. I found myself skipping over them because there were so many. It seemed to get on the way of the story line. I had to double check that I hadn’t accidentally selected a book from the romance section. I ended up getting really bored and didn’t even finish the book.

The narrator was excellent and provided a wonderful performance.

Not enough substance

The series should have been ended at 2 books, this one had no real plot and was hard to get through. I loved the first two books.

Way to much description

Although I have listened to all 3 books, it took me quite a number of attempts. Repetitive description of conversation and the monologue of what she is thinking made a good story line drag on. I think the only reason I could finally finish the books was the narrator . The fight and sex scenes are, once again repetitive

A long awaited finale to an outstanding series!!

Laura Thalassa did a wonderful job closing this series. Even though, it saddens me that this series had to end, it was done with the right amount of forward thought that leaves nothing lingering and hope for their future together. 👍

Really great book for commute

I really enjoyed this series a lot. Susannah Jones did a fantastic job narrating and had different voices for all of the characters. The books have a good balance of romance, comedy, and mystery. I looked forward to my commute because it meant I could listen to the story! I was a little startled when Jay Ben Markson started reading as Des for a chapter, but I thought he did a good job and the way he read the chapter matched how Susanna portrayed Des. My only complaint for the book was the ending.

** MILD SPOILER
It seemed to go almost too smoothly considering that the other two books (and most of this one) was spent hunting the Thief and fearing him. I thought the ending was a bit rushed and the characters seemed to change in the last 3 or so chapters. Other than that, I liked the book series and would listen to them again.

Sigh

Absolutely loved this series. I’m hoping there will be more in the future. I’d love to hear Temper and Malachi’s story

Epic End to a Great Series

Love, love, LOVE! Sexy, seductive, dirty, violent, passionate, heartbreaking, intense. Basically everything that makes the end to a series wonderful and enthralling. I got to listen to this one at the courtesy of the author, who is a complete doll (thank you, Ms Thalassa!), and it’s definitely worth your audible credit, and certainly worth reading with your own pretty little eyes.

I really loved this series, like a whole stinking lot. This will be a favorite for me that I’ll come back to over and over again. And it is very sexy. If you’re not into descriptive sex scenes, this may not be for you. I wouldn’t say it’s crass, though. It gets really hot and heavy, but the passionate and genuine love between the characters keeps it from feeling icky (I think). So beware if that is something you aren’t comfortable with. If you ARE ok with it... dang she writes some good hanky panky, so you have something to look forward too.

Again, LOVED it! EPIC end to the series, and I’m looking forward to devouring more of Laura Thalassa’s work.
