Blood has memories
The dark prince is finally awoken after 95years due to a curse when normally only 20yrs are needed to awaken. He needs to go to Vampire school (Bloodstone Institute) to learn about the new age he has awoken to. He meets a woman trying to disguise herself as a vampire attending to the institute, however something about her blood calls to him. He wants to know why any mortal would put themself in this much danger. Why does her blood call to him? The dark prince likes toying around with her despite the arousal he invokes into her. She desperately tries to conceal her true identity of being a human unaware that the dark prince already knows she a human. She wasn't randomly picked for the inside job and the longer she there the more she realizes it. A great story, I like the female character being clueless and learning about the vampire culture. Good rationales for all of her thoughts and fears are explained more during the end of the book. The narrators are really good.

Not worth it.
I tried to like it. The suffocating amount of contrivances required by this author, to set up and execute the story, removes most of my enjoyment. However, please do note that the voice acting is well done.
