good and bad!
it's hard to review themis book for me. the story was compelling and the narrator was great, but it was not the action fantasy I expected. As things go from bad to worse throughout the book for the MC I just started to feel depressed as the writer carried on in detail about how horrible the MC's life and circumstances were. even the small pieces of joy throughout the book get snuffed out almost instantly.
so if your interested in a VERY dark and gritty book than give it a try, but be warned there are some parts where you'll just want to stop listening.

The narrator sadly ruined this for me :/
This book had an overall great story. The characters were interesting and it had a good plot. But the narrator's persistently "exasperated" tone of voice for the main character was SO damn irritating, and made me nearly quit the book only 30 minutes in. Maybe less. It took away from the humor they were trying to convey, and made him just seem apathetic about literally everything. I say "trying", because they relied too much on forming overly complex and crude insults rather than actual funny gags or story twists, which were so convoluted that they failed entirely at being funny... and I consider myself a coinosseur of rude and inappropriate humor, lol.

Terrible. Awful writing. Moderate narration.
This book is so bad. It’s one of the most poorly written fantasy novels I’ve ever attempted to wade through. The author seems to be trying to bolster the weak story with pointless, and moronic, vulgarity (I’m not against vulgarity by any means, but this is stupid). The action is pathetic, with many fights turning against the main character in impossible-to-believe twists of fate. The long-winded nonsensical torments inflicted on the protagonist aren’t worthy of a professional author. This book seems like it might have been written by a teenager who cared more about violence and depravity than storytelling. One star because zero isn’t possible.

Le son est mauvais
L’enregistrement est de piètre qualité! J’ai plusieur livres audio et c’est la première fois que ça sonne la «cacanne » comme ça! Il y a un genre d’écho très désagréable.
