Cartoonish plots and strereotyped characters

The male characters are incredibly stereotyped, especially the first two stories, and the presentations somewhat hysterical. Alexandra Johnson does a good job to minimize the cartoonish nature of characters and the plots, but doesn't have enough to work with.
