Welcome back to Dallin, a small town in rural Utah that’s nestled in the land of hoodoos and red rock canyons. It's a quaint little community with thriving businesses, antique shops, clothing stores, art galleries, a locale where an ornate Church of Latter-Day Saints sits in a prime location on Main Street, and a place where a train whistle is always blowing in the distance.
At 41, Dakota Dawson is packed, prepared to move across the country to avoid seeing her ex-wife in the produce section. Bet you know where she’s going. That’s right. Dallin. She’s Lauren’s new physician assistant, an androgynous woman with an athletic physique who can’t believe she’s single again.
On her way into town, she runs across Afton Memorial’s attorney at the bottom of Tear Drop Canyon, and experiences an emotional connection unlike anything she’s ever experienced with anyone. The problem is that Nikki’s a straight woman with boyfriends—or at least she has been.
Pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable, and catch up with old friends. Oh, and while you’re here, don’t forget to make a few new ones.

Kept me riveted
“Defining Moment” starts with a very exciting beginning, in which the narrator infused so much emotion into the characters’ voices. I couldn’t stop listening. Normally, I can get distracted when listening to books, but I couldn’t turn it off. I had to know what came next, and there are more thrilling parts in the story. Fortunately, I didn’t have to work today because I couldn’t stop listening. I finished this book in one afternoon. It’s been awhile since I read the two previous books in the series, but it was still a gripping story, and I didn’t feel like I had to go back and reread.

Arson Finds Dallin
Dakota Dawson is on her way to Dallin to get over her ex wife and to be Dr. Lauren Biscoll’s new Physicians Assistant. Near the town she find a car off the rod in a ravine. She immediately goes down to assist the woman and call for help. Forming an immediate connection to Nikki, the victim, while they wait for the air rescuers the bond in every way. A mystery and story of love and redemption for two wounded souls. Marvelous series.
Loved the story line, the MC were interesting. Narration was as always very good, looking for the sequel
