Great swats of the first book are repeated from a different perspective and it works. Some of the characters are fleshed out and their background filled in and that is also very well done.
The ending of it doesn't do much for me but willing to see where it goes from here.
I think reading or listening the first book in the series is a must in this case and I managed to find it. Amazon does not sell it in Canada and that makes no sense.

I'm really angry about the ending. I devoured both books only to have the ending be a total betrayal. Read this book at your own risk. It's a great ride, just be ready for a lazy ending.
So much energy. Great characters that I really cared about. Two epic road trips. All thrown away in the last 30 minutes.
All the things the characters struggled through, the heart-wrenching deaths, battles fought and friendships forged, love, hate, retribution, redemption, it all meant nothing because it was "all just a dream!"
I'm going to be angry about this for a while.
