Publisher's Summary
The Deliverance has arrived.
The planet is beautiful, lush, teeming with life and perfectly suited to the colony’s needs. It should be a paradise.
Instead, it’s a nightmare.
Caleb knows the truth. The ship’s real mission has nothing to do with settlement. The plan is much more sinister than that.
Now the race is on to prepare for the coming storm, to secure the colony, and find the enemy before the enemy finds them.
But when fear leads to a desperate betrayal, will it be the innocent who pay the ultimate price?

Great pacing marred by one note dialogue and characters
I’ll bet the author has worn out the keys used to type “lying bitch”. All the females are curvy and most fall in love with the mc. And the seemingly only black character can’t talk, but doesn’t use sign language either, and his speech can’t be healed even though all kinds of other injuries can, and is limited to “flashing his thumb” constantly while being a tank character with no backstory whatsoever through two books. While that’s normally a dealbreaker, the pacing and the battle descriptions keep me going, at least for the books free with membership.

Not bad, not great, terrible ending
The ending just happens. No real closure, no real climax.
He could’ve ended it just as easily at the end of book two , halfway through book two, halfway through book one pretty much anywhere, it couldn’t have been much worse.

disappointed
so much potential with book 1 and 2 actually being good. nr 3 is just a giant plot hole.

Good simple story
Not a bad series. Simple, no major twists, but a few hood turns to the plot, its a bug hunt. This final book brought the series to a good conclusion.

Card and crew aren't through yet!
I seriously can not get enough of the Forgotten Universe. Each series is so wonderfully unique and builds the world up so well.
After crash landing on an alien planet Card and his Guardians are caught in the thick of it as an ignorant Mayor struggles to maintain control over Metro after lying to the population for so long. The Guardians just happen to be the perfect scapegoat to direct blame. Lost in the jungle and forced to ally himself with the enemy to survive being persecuted by the very people he swore to protect Sargent Card has his hands full.

High thrills and chills in a fun series
This third book in the Delivery series is the proverbial rollercoaster ride of action and danger we've come to love Forbes' writing. It will not disappoint!!!

Wow! Love this. (Spoiler Alert!)
Love this, from book 1 to book 3...good story..awesome characters and amazing narrator. Love all of it. Can't wait to start books 4 and 5. Will be sad when this story ends. Already sad that ( spoiler alert) Sho and Florez died...🥺. Hopefully Washington doesn't die as well.

Predictability with Twists
The sophomore try of this series is a good listen if your commute is short and you can take in a few minutes at a time. Otherwise, the main character needs to grow a spine when dealing with obviously disposable leadership of the colony.
Not sure if book 3 is in my future.

Weakness is not a characteristic of a Raider
Ok, this is not going to be a complimentary review in spite of me mostly enjoying this story. Here’s my gripe. The moral dilemmas that Caleb faces and responds to are not those of a warrior. He takes the abuse of a Dictator and always finds a way to justify it. [SPOILER]. The fact that d-bag governor offered his Marine as a sacrifice just to date his own anger/incompetence and Caleb’s justification of that is pathetic. Vomiting pathetic. I’m not a Marine but I am a soldier, a leader and had some skeezy scum bag dictator douxhebag leader offered one of my soldiers to be sacrificed I wouldn’t have spent minutes justifying his behavior, I would be putting his sorry ass down like a rabid dog. What a POS. So yeah Caleb, the hardcore MARSOC Raider acts badass at times but then justifies the behavior of evil people in an ongoing internal dialogue that makes me sick. That’s why I despise Caleb and find him totally unworthy.

No Breaks Here
Like the others in this series Caleb and the marines can't catch a break... well actually they catch all the breaks then are immediately slammed with another but kicking problem. Over all I enjoyed it greatly. A few times I nearly put it down because one word ... Valentine... She's a good annoying villainy like character. I was every happy when she was confronted for her crimes and then was left thinking ... Well of course she did. Like I said a solid Sci-Fi thriller and I plan to continue the series.

interesting
Not a bad listen, will certainly keep up with the series, however not at the top of my listen preference. I am interested to see where this series goes....

Free, and almost worth the price.
Free, and almost worth the price. Poorly planned, poorly written. And, the narration is mediocre. 😕
