Very slow moving

Although it sounds like one thing. In Chapter 14, not much has happened except a lot of talk about the “arrangement” and lots of information about the proper brewing of tea and its significance! I’m all for story, plot and character development but this is SLOW! It picks up in Chapter 20 in terms of some of the hotter scenes but still lots of talking about fashion and music and tea

Boring

This book was a huge yawn for me. While I’m not a fan of Lance Greenfield and can only tolerate Grace Grant reading certain kinds of books, this story was not for me. I never found myself liking either main character. They were both one dimensional to me. As always I was surprised at all the good ratings but thought I’d like this story. I found it lacked any real warmth to grab on to as Shepherd and Jasmine found their way to each other. SAVE your credit. There are way better books out there.

Was disappointing

I struggle with this book I wanted to like it but I had trouble finishing had to restart chapters sometimes. The Narrators were really amazing as always. Not my favorite book of Crystal

Great Second Chance in Love

This is the third book in the Dirty Rich Series, but this was my first Crystal Kaswell's book. Jasmine and Shepard's story is a great second chance at love. Shepard is a strong alpha man, dominant, secretive, with a dark past. Jasmine is a strong woman, loving and supportive. They share a strong and sizzling chemistry. The storyline has a great pace, filled with twists and turns, steamy light BDSM scenes, mystery and secrets. Lance Greendield and Grace Grant did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the other books in the Series. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I struggled to care.

This was a difficult audio book to get through because of the Shep. I truly struggled and very nearly returned to get my credit back as I found I just didn't care. BUT - SPOILER ALERT - the author explained the reason behind character she created and it made perfect sense. Now I will shelve this book for a while and listen again with a more open mind.

One less star for being too soft on the criminal

I had to listen to this story a second time to be able to appreciate the hero and heroine and their relationship.

I took away one star for the story because it pissed me off that the criminal got off easy (IMO) despite the Shepperd - Jasmine HEA.

The narrators were great, no issues there.

You can have too much tea🤷🏽‍♀️

Love the story line but got tired of all the discussions about tea, who cares! Also I would have loved to hear that the child molester was caught but overall it was a good read.

Good Read

Enjoyable read. This story is about second chances, at love and at life.

The heroine Jasmine, needs help in order to be able to afford treatment that would help her sick father. Which means marrying her high school sweetheart Shepard who used to be an alcoholic and is still trying to keep his demons at bay. Fast forward six years later and life brings them back together. Shep needs a wife and she needs money for her father’s care. Their chemistry is still off the charts, especially with his dirty talking ways and light BDSM.

First Crystal Kaswell story which was well written. Lance Greenfield and Grace Grant does a beautiful job narrating. I couldn't help but fall in love with both of these characters as I route for their HEA.

This book brings the heat 🔥

This second chance romance was enjoyable, but unrealistic at times. Jasmine and Shep have a history together that his alcoholism destroyed. Several year's later he wants her as his wife and she needs his money to help her ill father. A non-romantic marriage contract with no sex involved is drawn up and the engagement is on. It doesn't take long for feeling's to re-surface and the no intimacy clause is out the window. This time around though Shep is a more dominant lover bringing Jasmine into his BDSM lifestyle. But will their steamy encounters be enough to melt Shep's traumatized frozen heart and lead to a HEA ending? This book brought the heat, but did stall at times. Jasmine is a very a likable character, but liking Shep's character proved to be more challenging even knowing the reason for his behavior. I think the narrator's did do a great job and I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a sexy listen.
