Publisher's Summary

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life. Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

In this fully revised and updated edition, Tracy adds two new chapters. The first explains how you can use technology to remind yourself of what is most important and protect yourself from what is least important. The second offers advice for maintaining focus in our era of constant distractions, electronic and otherwise. But one thing remains unchanged: Brian Tracy cuts to the core of what is vital to effective time management: decision, discipline, and determination. This life-changing book will ensure that you get more of your important tasks done - today!

Practical guide to overcoming procrastination.

one thing I really appreciated about this book is the lack of beating around the bush. it's direct, clear and gives practical examples you can start right away to overcome procrastination. it goes beyond just procrastination. one excellent example, and something I did myself, is about a colleague of Brian's that identified the key tasks she does in her role, the most valuable to the business, and all the other tasks that were not critical. she sat with her Manager and delegated the low value tasks, focusing on the critical work. she greatly improved her salary and increased her value and productivity to the business by 70%.

At first I was a little put off by the narration and now wish every improvement type book was narrated in this manner. it's very to the point and little unnecessary extrapolation just to fill content.

Honestly, a great book

An easy read and even easier to comprehend. This book is similar to other productivity books but that does not mean it's a waste of your time. I highly recommended it.

Practical

For certain people with more or less normal brains this is practical advice.
For people like me that tend to be timid, hesitant and distracted it would give you the tools to fix your deepest issues.
All depends on your personality and brain function, you may need another kind of book such as Your ADDed Personality.

Honestly, This Book Changed My Life!!

The right motivation I needed to complete the tasks for my business and for myself to succeed and achieve other levels of success. This book really opened my eyes and made me view my tasks more as a challenge. I really think this book should be on the shelf of every entrepreneur, future entrepreneur, people who need more than ever to get their shit right. When the clock is ticking, you better move and go forward or else you'll get destroyed by your competitors.
I wish you all a good reading/listening :)

The Race Begins

This makes total sense. All the way through my mind was racing to organize my tasks and transform my business. I have become complacent and now is the time to kick myself into gear and run the race again. I'm off to get my first frog. 3 2 1 GO

The narration left a lot to be desired

The book may have been good but the narration was horrible. He hesitated at the wrong spots, and almost felt as if he were emulating William Shatner.

Info is good but...

The info in the book was very good and I found it very helpful. Only thing I didn't like is the narrator's voice was annoying.

Beneficial to work ethic

This book is well written for motivation. Btian Tracy gives many methods to help oneself overcome procrastination. I appreciate the salami and swiss cheese method. I also like how he presents question as to what is holding you back and such that makes people think about what they want and why they want it. I am thankful that I read this book.

Useful with some caveats

The book provides common sense and detailed useful advice on time management.
Psychological considerations are mostly flawed.
Relations with colleagues are undervalued.
There are some contradictions.
It is not true that anyone can learn anything.
Sometimes there is a salesman tone: the author sells his book as the definitive way to success and happiness.

Fabuleux !
