The wait for this was well worth it
The wait for this was well worth it. Garett has done a great job with this book. It might be only 11 hrs long but it’s a great ten hours.

Unique and compelling take on sci-fi war
A unique take on space sci fi with a focus on how war affects its participants and how different people deal with its trauma in their own way. All of the characters in the story have their own personal struggles as they come together in the wake of a war to either atone for their actions or run from their past, and the story has a cool focus on civilians thrust unwillingly into combat. Overall, definitely worth a listen.

Just mediocre all the way through. The ending is the worst kind of deus ex machina, too.
