Publisher's Summary

Val thought it was over, having gambled with fate itself for the lives of all those he loved.

He did not expect to wake up in a hospital bed, in the crosshairs of a professional killer.

A friend he thought lost forever shows him a mysterious game that only a select few can jack into. It's the perfect escape, and what seems a fun lark becomes all too real as he enters a realm where level-ups affect both worlds, dying in game is dying for real, and no one is hungrier for Val's secrets then the men hunting for his head.

Time is running out for Val and everyone he loves.

So much for happy endings.

awesome read

the only thing i disliked is when this book/books is when he changes to different prepectives without any warning because its really messes up mental image im trying to get while listening which makes it slightly confusing to listen to. but other than that i love the story!

Beautifully done!

The way this series is written. Sucks you in. It makes you Ignite long forgotten passion for your loved ones and captivates your mind in a story of love adventure terror and excitement. And so much more. I love this series and can’t wait for more.

great series! (spoilers below)

A really interesting take on the litrpg genre and it is beautifully written. my only critique is that I'm not a fan of the story trope where the MC gets amnesia and has to start from scratch again. it never has the same impact as a story line following the continual progress of the MC
