de lightly wicked

One of the of my favourite books; enjoyed the first book but I find the full cast enriched the story. Joshua Jackson’s voice really sells the character and the rest of cast play off of it beautiful

Old Time Radio show

I really enjoyed listening to Joshua Jackson read the first part on his own because it is like you reading the book - you do the different voices and establish how you want the characters to sound. However, the second part has other people in it and sound effects. I wasn't sure how I would like that, but I am enjoying it. It is 'reading' like an early radio show. I remember listening to a speciality radio program that did playbacks late on Sunday nights of the early radio shows ("Theatre of the Mind"). This is like those programs. It is engaging and I enjoy the storyline as well!

What a disappointment

10 minutes in and I already hate it. The first book was amazing with Joshua Jackson narrating.
With the other voices and the extra sound effects and music- it doesn't hit the same. Its hard to pay attention and the volume levels are off.
I had such high hopes. so disappointing

The play format is not for me!

Joshua Jackson did a great job on Book 1, unfortunately the play acting of book two was not good.
I’ll gladly pay full price for book two if Joshua does it with normal narration.

Gave up listening by 3rd instalment

Dramatization “full cast” narration of this book ruined it. I can’t even say what the story was like because I couldn’t listen to it.
