Publisher's Summary

Celebrate the magic of Christmas in Haven Point with New York Times best-selling author RaeAnne Thayne, where hope, home and happily ever after are as close as your holiday stocking.

Christmas is the last thing on Cole Barrett's mind this year. He's barely hanging on trying to care for his two grieving children since his ex-wife died in a tragic accident. For the reclusive Cole, this is no time for gift giving and celebration - and certainly not for a sunny-natured optimist to blow into his screwed-up life.

Physician Devin Shaw has long researched the curative powers of Lake Haven's mineral waters. Unfortunately the hot springs are on Barrett property, forcing Devin to strike a bargain with the ranch's attractively gruff owner: She'll give Cole's children a magical Christmas, and Cole will allow her patients access to the springs. But can she work her holiday magic to heal the Barrett family's battered hearts - and her own?

families are made in many ways

Fun story that really demonstrates how families are ever changing and enforces forgiveness and especially forgiveness of one's self.

Nice small town romance

If you like contemporary, small town romances that are on the sweet side, then this might be the series for you. This is book 3 and now I can't wait to return to this little Idaho town to meet more of the citizens and watch them fall in love.

The story and the characters are well developed. I truly got sucked into the story and couldn't stop listening because I wanted to know how Cole and Devin were going to get their happily ever after.

The downside to this series is Celeste Ciulla's narration. She isn't bad, but she's also not exceptional. I've listened to several of her narrations now because I wanted to read the book and not because of her work. I keep hoping that it would get better, but then feel disappointed when her voices for the characters fall flat. But at least she puts some emotion into her performance and her pacing is good.

I'll probably continue to listen to this series since I want to revisit Haven Point, but the narration isn't the selling point for me.

An Easy Read

"Evergreen Springs: Haven Point series" by RaeAnne Thayne
my Audible..audiobook that I have had since Sept 2016
I am quite sure I had read this story before... probably the print edition...
Good story.. a contemporary romance that twists your heart til your eyes spring a leak. And then, turns around and makes you laugh.
I gave the story 5-stars the performance 4-stars because....
I didn't like one of the voices (it just didn't sound like MY imagination thought it should)....
and I can be ornery sometimes..
