Story
Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"? Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance.

Do I Stay Christian? addresses in public the powerful question that surprising numbers of people—including pastors, priests, and other religious leaders—are asking in private. Picking up where Faith After Doubt leaves off, Do I Stay Christian? is not McLaren's attempt to persuade Christians to dig in their heels or run for the exit. Instead, he combines his own experience with that of thousands of people who have confided in him over the years to help readers make a responsible, honest, ethical decision about their religious identity.

Story
In the first half of life, we are naturally preoccupied with establishing ourselves; climbing, achieving, and performing. But as we grow older and encounter challenges and mistakes, we need to see ourselves in a different and more life-giving way. This message of falling down - that is in fact moving upward - is the most resisted and counterintuitive of messages in the world's religions. Falling Upward offers a new paradigm for understanding one of the most profound of life's mysteries: how those who have fallen down are the only ones who understand "up".

Story
Intellectual certainty has long been a cornerstone of the Christian faith. But in an age of secularism, skepticism, and cynicism, our worldviews have been shaken. Various solutions exist - some double down on certainty, while others deconstruct their faith until there is nothing left at all. But Brian Zahnd offers a third way: What is needed is not a demolition, but instead a renovation of faith. Written with personal and pastoral experience, Zahnd extends an invitation to move beyond the crisis of faith toward the journey of reconstruction.

Publisher's Summary
This program is read by the author.
From Rob Bell, the New York Times best-selling author of Love Wins
This audiobook is an invitation to see your life in a new way. Because we each have a story we're telling - about who and where we come from, what we've been through, and what it all means - or doesn't mean. These stories we tell can easily feel disjointed and fragmented, like an endless series of events are happening to us without any particular coherence or point. Just, you know, life. But for thousands of years there's been another way of understanding this experience we're all having here, one that goes directly to the heart of those age-old questions: Who are we? And what are we doing here? And what does it all mean?
In this compelling and surprisingly subversive memoir, Rob shows us this ancient wisdom, taking us through his history and the history of the universe to show us something about our histories - how all of it matters, how everything we've been through forms a connected whole, and how it's all been headed somewhere the whole time.
From the farthest reaches of the universe to the smallest cells in our bodies, Rob invites us to see that there's something more going on here, something bringing us together and guiding us into greater and greater wonder and awe at our own existence, showing us how this world we call home is way more dynamic and mysterious and meaningful than we ever realized.
If you've every found yourself thinking, "There's got to be me more than this", this audiobook is for you. Can your life get more fascinating, more meaningful, filled with more and more possibilities surprising you year after year after year? This book says yes. Because everything is spiritual.

Big payoff
I discovered Rob Bell and his work this year. This is the second of his books I’ve listened to. I think I was initially more ‘into’ “What is the Bible?”, more at first but chapter 6/7 of this book are chill inducing and heartening. What a big payoff ;)

A Journey to the Very Depths of Who We Are
Thank you Rob Bell for once again restoring my wonder and awe for life and its mysteries. I enjoy all of your books but this one has come at exactly the right time to inspire me to keep going on the journey to find a way to give my gift to the world. I so appreciated the way you described Authenticity as owning all of you including the pain, and how with pain comes death but also new life and resilience abd inspiration. I am forever grateful for your gift!

This book left me breath-given!
There are many things in life where you can describe it as a “breath taking” moment...but there are few that give you breath.
Rob’s words, his ideas, the beauty he finds in everything...is breath giving.
I found myself breathing deeply, an inhale of sorts...
This book is LIFE GIVING!! Find your breath...find space in your day to read this - you will feel like you have more life to give once you do!

Awakens me to the flow that's within us all
Rob Bell said in a RobCast episode that he is a seven on the Enneagram. A seven is often called "The Enthusiast".
The Audible version of this book read by Bell himself affirms that "seven". But it's not a superficial, rah rah kind of enthusiasm. He owns his material from deep within himself--combining an amazing level of self awareness in analyzing his journey through life with a multilevel understanding of the stories and messages from Old and New Testaments.
Disclaimmer: Rob Bell revived and deepened my faith in 2011 with his book Love Wins. I have since attended six of his live events, each time finding myself emersed in the flow of spirit that permeated the room. Listening to this book reignited that experience.
