Publisher's Summary

Supervillains are murdering people in the streets, but yet superheroes are more concerned with gaining popularity than bringing the villains to justice.

These villains think they are above the law and that nobody can stop them, but they never planned for me. I’ll murder every one of them with my powersuit, traps, and sidekicks.

And if killing bad guys makes me a villain in the eyes of the heroes, well...I’ll destroy them too.

Definitely worth a read... er... listen.

First off the narrators are amazing!!! Hands down awesome, full freaking stop. After reading some of the reviews and listening to the book I can see where some people get there jaw bent out of shape... yes you can guess the basic, well entire rest of the book, when you finish the events at the Gala but so what? I thoroughly enjoyed the initial banter between Miles and Dynamo as a means of expressing counterpoints in one of the biggest and mind rending problems in nearly all superhero (especially comic) genres; why aren't the bad guys dealt with... PERMANENTLY. The book gives a credible, but not earth shattering, reason for it in their specific city at least. I want to say that most depictions of the un-powered are a total not-possible-in-reality type... but... even though far fetched I can see these types of people actually existing in our world. Anyway I did really enjoy the book was laughing out loud at points, and found myself routing for Miles, Norma and crew even if they aren't necessarily the "hero" type. Some complain that it's a slow starter but I find that it helps to build the world that they inhabit how flawed of a system exists and gives some reasonable credence to their actions. Definitely worth continuing and a re-listen.

A good listen

I enjoyed it. Just dont go in expecting Lord of the Rings. As for if it's an Ironman clone, I would disagree. Just because it has a power suit doesn't mean it is a copy.

Very dull

I usually don’t dislike mindless looks like this once in a while. However, this felt like a very poor blend of science-fiction and fantasy. It feels like it takes place far the future in some parts of the book but but not that far in other parts. There are no explanations of how or why some people have powers and the main character almost feels like a partial partial rip of Iron Man.
